According to Rivals.com, this is the current breakdown of football recruiting rankings, based on confirmations recruits have given schools or recruiting analysts, as recruiting enters its last week.

1. Texas
2. Tennessee
3. Florida
4. LSU
5. USC
6. Notre Dame
7. Georgia
8. Nebraska
9. Michigan
10. South Carolina
11. Illinois
12. Auburn
13. Oregon
14. Virginia
15. Ole Miss

Illinois and Virginia are clearly the surprises on this list, but also of note is that Ohio State is not on the list at all. According to various reports, several kids who had OSU in their final three schools have now spurned the Buckeyes after that miserable showing Monday night.

Also of note...SEVEN SEC teams are in the top 15 (compared to two Big Ten schools, Michigan and Illinois). And does anyone doubt that Alabama will be making a strong charge in this last week with Saban on the recruiting trails?

OSU is going to finish strong and should close out another top 10 recruiting class (lower because they’ll only bring in 18-20 players compared to some programs who bring in 25, of which 4 or 5 don’t wind up qualifying academically). OSU has 4 top 100 players and is expected to finish with 7 or 8 overall.
