On Fridays I'd hit Sportmans for the last 2 races sit in the grandstand and who is sitting down from me but the Prez of the BDH. He was not as cuddly as Mully makes him out to be. He also trained horse 2 come to mind Old Frankfort winner of the Stars and Stripes and First Metropolitan who won at 1st asking and paid $100+ Also trainers would watch races there.....I learned a valuable lesson I was behind Pete Maxwell and he bet $500 on his horse to win....shit I can put 20 on it....horse finished 7th....,never again!

He trained Glass House too, I think. When I was about 12 or 13 he gave me a four-leafed clover at Arlington. I had it pressed in a book for a long time. It eventually disintegrated.
