Ok Denis got that. I was losing it about the odds versus place line. But if you bet on pass you really only play odds on the point number right? So I was confused about the 4-10 or 6-8. I realize that on the place the probability of those numbers but it you double up behind the pass line you only have the point number, right?

Anyway, I also tried to bet come line and it places it on a number when it passes and so on. I am slowly getting it.

Found the odds spot on the practice table. Also doing the come bet "with odds" but not sure I am right. Is putting odds on the come number you get just adding the double chips to the place spot or somewhere else?

Mike, you can add odds to the come bet in multiples of your come bet like 1x, 2x, etc. they will be put in the same spot as the place bets, but they pay different. You will even money on the come bet, but true odds on the odds bet. With a place bet, they pay less than the actual odds.

Yes, the dealer will quickly recognize when you are playing the "right" way and you won't have to do much talking. In effect the Pass Line and Come bets are just to make you eligible to make the odds bets and reduce the casino edge to the minimum. The first bet pays off at even money as denis has explained. The actual odds on the on the 6 and 8 are 6-5, 5 and 9 are 3-2, and 4 and 10 are 2-1. I believe it is the only bet in the entire casino where there is NO house edge.

To me, all the other bets on the table are sucker bets and designed to create confusion for the players. Ignore all the idiots yelling "Yo-leven" and shit. The only time I've ever bet the hard ways was when I covered them all for the dealers as a tip.
