Gun Runner making an appearance again Sat. Some other good horses in this race like Gray Sky and Unbridled Outlaw.

But Gun Runner might have his hands full with this contender, Texas Chrome. He ran away with it in his last race.

I think Gun Runner jogs. Short field. Short price.

I know you're not a harness guy but the big action is at Mohawk this Saturday. Loading up on LA Delight.

The race of the day will be the Stephen Foster later in the evening. If Bravo can get Bradester to the front, no one will catch him.

Don't you think El Kabeir is going for the lead?

He'll try to go with Bradester, Effinex and Are You Kidding Me, but will flatten out.

I'll throw some dough on an exacta box with Gun Runner and Texas Chrome, hoping to at least get 5-1 on that. It should come in that way.

But I don't like the short field either.

Yes, I'll be looking at this race too. I've read Effinex is the one to beat.

I only played the Matt Winn. Lukas gets me again with Gray Sky.

This is what I'm talking about the tracks rigging the races. The horse that was going to come in second probably, Unbridled Outlaw, was scratched.

I had Gun Runner keyed 1, and boxed Texas Chrome, Virtual Machine and Cutacorner. I only took Cutacorner because he had had a good workout leading up to the race, and Battaglia picked him 3. So I had the 1, 3 and 4 horses in my tri-fecta, but no Gray Sky. There was nothing in the form sheet to say Gray Sky was going to do anything in this race (other than showing some speed), because he had been well out of the money in his last races. Still, I should have picked him as a horse used to higher stakes races over Texas Chrome and Virtual Reality, who moved up in class for this race. This was a lay-up, and I blew cashing in on a 60-1 tri-fecta, because I didn't think of the obvious of taking the higher-class horse and the one with speed. I was focused on the late speed for a short race. Me stupido.
