What is the most money you have won on either site?

$4,500 on both, every week, using Mike North's advice.

I've never actually spent a dime on either. It just seemed too risky last year with all the pending litigation. We did use Draft Kings for fantasy survivor leagues, though. Just funnel the payments through PayPal or mattress mula.

DraftKings and FanDuel are so short of cash, according to the two people familiar with the negotiations, that they have asked Mr. Schneiderman’s office if they can pay the final settlement in installments, and they have conceded that they are having difficulty meeting their day-to-day obligations.

Within the past three weeks, the New York-based FanDuel has laid off more than 60 people, and both companies have acknowledged that they are months behind in their payments to vendors, especially to the array of public relations and lobbying firms that they have employed across the nation to persuade individual state legislatures to legalize daily fantasy games — the most critical component of rebuilding their business.

Daily Fantasy is a good idea. The implementation is shady as shit.

I pulled my money out when shit hit the fan, but I still play in as many free rolls as I can.

The last 4 year or so I've deposited $25 to start and once that money runs out I am done for the year. 2 straight years of not winning anything and then last year I won probably around $750 for the year. This year just kind of breaking even.

speaking of these guys.... was there some litigation or (arbitrary?) rules limiting their exposure for this NFL season or something? i ask because holy shit this year is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better without the ubiquitous presence of these 2 companies all over every NFL/related broadcast, during every in-game commercial block (sometimes both would get in the same blocks) and then last year i noticed that DK/FD were likely kicking $$$ to guys like joe ostrowski, who would then turn around and take a good ~25-33% of the score's fantasy football show and devote it to "daily fantasy lineups" (i know that one of the 2 companies sponsored joe-o and the other was with tannehill)

the most insidious shit started up right around weeks 5-6 where they'd be like "hey is your team 1-4 or 0-5 with no chance of making the playoffs? forget about that lost season and come to FD/DK where you'd have to be STUPID to not get in there to win hundreds of dollars in cash and prizes... don't be that guy who goes around offering everyone horrible trades out of sheer desperation.... have some dignity and come over to FD/DK!" --- yes that's right: a company who started up on the score like "HEY YOU, MR. ABOVE-AVERAGE FANTASY FOOTBALL PLAYER!!!" totally d/evolved into literally mocking the losers out there and telling them "hey you suck so much why don't you come over here and spend money on picking new shitty teams every week! you COULD win up to [some obscene amount] of cash and prizes....

...yeah, if you basically have something like $1000-5000/day of capital to invest in playing in hundreds of game, while using the rest of that capital/overhead to pay some of the "experts" for their formulas/equations and then you soullessly do the thing where you're playing 250-500 teams with enough variation to mathematically make it almost impossible to shit the bed entirely. besides, that's why you rope in the rubes who heard that thing like "YOU'RE 1-4 RIGHT NOW, WHY IS YOUR LOSER ASS TRYING TO MAKE TRADES AND FIX YOUR SHITTY/BROKEN TEAM? COME HERE AND GIVE US YOUR $$$!!!" --- those guys give up the $$$ that the pros and DK/FD technically make (and then cross promote each other to go "see, you can win BIG BUCKS HERE!!!! =)

TLDR = yeah yeah i know, this topic always gets me incensed every year and i gotta make one TLDR/ish post on why daily fantasy shit sucks. not only is it against THE WHOLE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPT OF HAVING A FANTASY *TEAM*, but it's also creeping in via yahoo and other places to shit up the actual game for ppl who really play! FUCK OFF AND TAKE YOUR LOSER ASS 1-4 FRIENDS WITH YOU!

I won $450 joining an MLB league. It was just $3 to get in. I finished in first. I think I tied with 2 other players or else it would have been more.
