Hard not to go with a horse that has only one second place finish in his last six races at the highest stakes in Gun Runner. But he's no true 4/5 in this top field. More like 3-1. I

There's value in West Coast at 8-1 and Stellar Wind at 30-1.

I like Toast of New York in this race. Came 2nd in the 2014 BCC, besting California Chrome, when he looked in great form and showed grit at the end. Basically coming off a three-year lay off after one allowance race in Great Britain at low stakes in December. Would be a surprise at 20-1. High alpha for this horse.

Good video on this horse. https://www.paulickreport.com/news/pega ... aming-big/

I'm probably going to try West Coast depending on the prices. 9 panels should be perfect for him and it appears Baffert has been pointing him to this spot. The 10-hole doesn't help Gun Runner. Toast of New York is interesting in here. Off three years with just that weak prep, but if he's back to what he was he's a factor. Seeking The Soul may be able to hit the gimmicks at a huge price. Stellar Wind has no shot in here. She's never won at a buck and an eighth even against mares.

I think Taralena in the third and Game Over in the Hooper have good chances. We'll see what the prices are.

Sharp Azteca is a legit 6-1. Only question is whether he can do it at this distance, when he's been a miler.

That last work of 0:58 over 5f a week ago at Gpw was red hot. Sitting pretty in the 4 post.

Would be surprised if does not at least hit the board. Will be in my exotics.

Well, he's a Navarro horse so it wouldn't shock me if he went to the front and broke Spectacular Bid's time for a mile and an eighth. But realistically, I don't see him winning this race. I do think he will be a serious pace factor. Maybe he will run Gun Runner and Collected into the ground.

Horse has pulled the upset before. 2016 Clement Hirsch at Del Mar versus Beholder. Odds were 7/2 against 1/9!

Chad Brown training with J. Rosario aboard is the kicker. For 20-1, worth a shot.

Stellar Wind second classiest horse in this race, only behind Gun Runner, and not by much.

Really like the Bafferts...just not sure if I like West Coast or Collected more.

West Coast will not be 8-1....maybe half of that.

West Coast is too short. I may go to Gun Runner or take a crack with Seeking The Soul hoping the race falls apart. They hammered Sharp Azteca right into Gun Runner in the gimmicks.

Even money on this horse is like stealing.

Gun Runner has to be one of the all-time greats to go out like that.

That horse just dominated the field. It is hard to even imagine how good he was.
