For me it's Arlington. I hit 4 of my first 5 races today then made a bad bet at Arlington. I can't hit at that place eventhough Beach Patrol came through for me at the Million last year. You?

I love Santa Anita. I'm up about $25,000 this year at Santa Anita. I'm a loser everywhere else. A friend asked me why I don't just play Santa Anita. Easy answer- I'm a gambler.

For me, the toughest thing is the synthetic tracks. But there are a lot of reasons to play them. One, the big computer consortiums with their giant rebates don't usually play them. Also, you can often find pace meltdown scenarios that yield good overlays. I've been concentrating on Woodbine and getting a better feel for it.

Wow, $25k. I won $130 last night and felt like the king of the world.

Golf Club of Illinois. I never score well there for some reason.

You have trouble with Arlington, because there is more random walk there. This can be explained by a number of things like poor jockeying or jockey collusion, low stakes races and inconsistent horses. Only the higher stakes and graded stakes races are worth playing. Otherwise, you are just setting yourself up to lose. And stay away from the maiden races. They're stupid.

I've made similar comments about San Anita, which is true.

Focus on Belmont, GP, Churchill, Fairgrounds, Aqueduct, Oaklawn, and even Hawthorne, believe it or not. They're all ok.

I always fuck up the corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

JORR told me that didn't happen.

There's more "randomness" because of the synthetic track. The separation between the abilities of the horses is minimized by the surface.

What I don't like about Santa Anita, besides the randomness, is Michael Wrona's calls at the wire. Every time does it, he speaks as if the horse that won was the horse that was expected to win, like he had known it already. It's really annoying.

C'mon already. It's insulting that S.A. had to choose an Aussie over an American announcer at the main California track.

I hit 4 outta 6 at Los Alamitos on Saturday. What reputation does that track have?

I was also thinking of seeing some live harness racing at Hawthorne. Yay or nay?

Ditto. But I still love it.

Avoid Saratoga, too.

Funny results there. The jockeys don't always try or pull their horses up for no reason on the back stretch or around the far turn, as if some races are pre-arranged.

Woodbine is the fairest track, I think. I see the jockeys trying very hard. Next are the Fair Grounds, Belmont and Oaklawn.

I like listening to Robert Geller at Woodbine. I think he is great at what he does.
