Post subject: | Week 5 |
Chus already started the week in last week's thread. I go into this week 26-20. I agree with him: Arizona pickem at Dodgers Padres -260 against Nationals The game is so tempting but that line is so frightening. Maybe put down .5 and be happy with any increase to your stash Cubs -140 at Pirates Just as the Cub "faithfull" are ready to give up on the season, their warm fuzzies pull them back in. Blue Jays -230 against Rangers Roy Hallady will always have a chance at a shutout...and Vincente Padilla will always give up a home run. Angels -170 at Royals Odalis Perez lost something like 25 straight starts and now he is sitting here with 2 wins. Is a third win more likely than another loss? |

Sox vs Seattle - Take the over tonight. Don't know what it is. 7 or 8 I'm sure. I just have a feeling that the Sox are gonna explode tonight and get the over by themselves. Vasquez and the Sox will give up 4 or 5 runs tonight as well. Washborn is going for Seattle. He's got a decent ERA (2.96). But I think the Sox bats will put up a big number tonight. |

I got my picks in at the last minute yesterday, so I didn't have time to post them. I had the Cubs (Money Line) and Cubs -1-1/2. The game was postponed in the 7th inning with the Cubs up 6-5. They graded my Cubs (ML) bet as a loss. The Cubs -1.5 was graded as a push. WTF ! |

I was going to ask you for a ruling on that Chus. I have a feeling Bruno is going to say my play is still alive. I will agree as long as the Cubs hold on for the win. If not I will protest. Anyway 1-1 yesterday with 1 still outstanding Brewers -140 against the Cardinals. |

Finish 2-1 yesterday with the Cub win to go to 31-23. Crusher interpreted the game the same as your guys Chus. Since it was delayed to today, the score goes back to the last full inning and Cubs lose. Well, I'm sorry, I just don't accept that interpretation from a local guy. I am going to make an issue of it. Just about any interpretation I win, and you are going to tell me I lose...not if you want my business you don't. |

If I absolutely had to play this, I would play the over, but I am staying away from Sox totals right now. |
