I was supposed to go there next weekend but am too busy and have to cancel. So the weather should be 72 and sunny all three days. |

Too bad I've been there about a half dozen times, so I don't feel too badly, except the parents of the friend of mine who puts this weekend on for his friends, the parents are getting into their upper 80s so I'm disappointed I can't spend an evening with them. |

I recommend the last Friday of April (closing day for Spring meet) as that is when the sororities of UK go to the track and pretend that it is the Kentucky Derby. Unfortunately, the fraternities are there too. |

I've been waiting for Market Garden to run back. He drew into the 3rd today but as the 16 so I doubt he'll go. The last time he was entered at Gulfstream he busted through the gate and ran about an eighth of a mile before the outrider caught him. They just brought him back an allowed him to race. He made a giant move in the middle of the race before flattening out. He should improve in his next out and will undoubtedly be big odds. |

Keeneland is great. Great horses, big fields quality trainers and jocks. It kicks my ass, year after year, and yet I really look forward to playing each day. 7th Race-Pletcher’s Bulletin should rightfully gain most of the bettor’s attention but I think there are several others that can beat him in the 5 1/2f turf dash. From a trainer’s standpoint I really like how Mark Casse gets them ready for Kee. He’ll have the 1-Yes I am Free and the 11-Strike Silver, who will have to turn tables on the favorites. Wesley Ward’s horses, the 9-Abyssinean and the 13-Chelsea Cloister, will also be favored by the public. The 13 has four straight 2nd’s and the only one on paper as fast as Bulletin. But all that talent is stuck way outside in a short sprint. I like the chances of both the 5-Vogt (Asmussen) and the 6-Real News (out of The Factor, which is a sire I am very high on currently). Both should get better trips than the favorites and I can see one or both finishing in the money at a solid price. (The Euro 14-Dom Carlos is a wild card for me, having not seen him or any useful PP information.) Good luck today, you’re gonna need it. |

I love horses by The Factor at sprint distances, particularly at first asking. Also, if I can get any kind of price on Instilled Regard in the second, I'll be firing. Classy horse. Second time turf. Third time Brown. I liked him on the Derby trail last year but thought a buck and a quarter was probably pushing his limits. He should be a good fit at a mile of the turf. And he'll be fine if the race comes off. |

In the 2nd, I was hoping to see a much bigger price on the 6-La Femme Royal. Cutting back and maybe lone speed early...price keeps dropping though. |

So the 6 was the lone speed and controlled that last race, just wasn't as good as the heavy favorite. Moving on to R3 I like 4-The Kid in Sid (Sidney's Candy)...the 11-Lemon Again off his last start at FG and the 13-Golden Challenge who draws in off the AE and has been keeping good company in Oaklawn... BTW, the 13 jockey Adam Beschizza is one to keep an eye on during this meet. He's very capable, yet under the radar and will continue to draw mounts like this where he is replacing another rider. Keep an eye on him. |

We'll get through this Walt. Wouldn't get cute here in R-4. I like the favorites 2, 9, and 13...but the 4 and the 12 could spice up an exacta. |

JORR's horse Instilled Regard getting hammered at the window. I thought I'd have a bomb in the 5-Frankenscence (20-1 down to 8-1) out of Fairgrounds but others beat me to the punch..so of equal value I'll seek out the 9-Birds Eye View who I like just as much currently 11-1 and very good value. |

I've got a trip note that says Dom Carlos passed 15 horses in the last 2f in his last race |

I'm going to try to get the PK-3 started with him. I kind of like the 12 in the next leg then on to the Casse horses and Vivid Verse. |

Well, that sucked. No surprise, but it sucked. The late scratch was the idiot who hooked Hidden Scroll in the FOY. That Mejia guy couldn't a squirrel to store nuts. |
