My favorite race is today---the Cigar Mile, of course. And we have the Remsen, too, at the Big A.

I don't think that Maximum Security or Spun to Run are necessarily locks in this race, who are going to be at very short prices anyway. I'm gonna be taking a hard look at Network Effect, Looking at Bikinis and Pat on the Back to beat them.

The Remsen will be tougher to handicap. I like how Informative finished his last race at 6f, but this one is at a buck and an eighth. His M/L price at 12-1 would be a gift. A safer pick might be Ajaaweed as a son of Curlin, with Rosario aboard.

Race 10-I think Maximum Security is going to be tough to beat, and Spun to Run will be sent right away to challenge him. I think there is a good chance the pace will melt down and that’s where I think you are spot on Rube with Looking At Bikinis

Race 8-Aqueduct Really like the 5-Alandra, ran sneaky good in Alcibiades at Kee

Race 9 I’ll spread between Motts 2-Forzo DiOro the 8-Alpha Sixty Six, sitting on a big effort, the 3-Cleon Jones (sorry Cubs fans) and perhaps the 4-Ajaaweed (and not because I spent a great deal of time with both the album Aja and Weed in college)

Lake Avenue busted me in the Empire just now.

If the pace melts down in the Cigar I think Nicodemus has a chance to pick up the pieces. Still looking for my first $100+ mutuel of 2019. I like to have at least one every year. I came close with Tabeya a couple weeks ago.

I had Lake Avenue to win in the 8th. But came up 1/2 length short in the Remsen with Ajaaweed. Bleep! Also went in on Informative big on a hunch, who couldn't hold on, but finished better than his odds.

To OTE, yeah, I'm going with Looking at Bikinis in the Cigar Mile. The DRF guys were positive on him in their preview of the race. And I'll take Spun to Run. You're getting at least fair-value on him at 9-2.

I respect Maximum Security, but he's being way over-bet at 3-5.

In Race 4 I really liked the 1-Rocky Policey...I had punched in an exacta key box w/all...but then in my infinite wisdom I cancelled that wager and took him across the board...which paid nice, except the exacta i stopped paid $423...ouch

"Maximum Security smoked them in the Cigar Mile!"

Indeed. Nice quote by the track announcer at the end. :)
