I think Country Grammer is sitting on a big one. |

I'm thinking Caracaro with Javier might blow the doors off all these horses, but I also like Celtic Striker's recent form here. Celtic Striker won the Easy Goer at Belmont at 1 1/16 mi. at 1:42 and 1 under a hand ride for the last sixteenth. |

Saratoga Late Pick 4 Race 7…Man the 4-Minit Maus fits with speed and distance/surface questions…20-1 on the m/l???...I’m going to lean on the 1-Astoria Kitten (along with the 4) who is simply faster than most here and many here have not faced winners before. Starting the pick 4 lean because I need to spread elsewhere and stay in budget. Race 8- G3 Schuylerville 6f dirt sprint for 2 year-old girls… the 3 and the 8 will take the money and control the speed…but I also like the 4-Quiona Tifah who won convincingly in her only race at Gulfstream Race 9-Peter Pan…I’ll insert two tidbits here about one of my all time favorite shows, SCTV…I should’ve found video of SCTV’s version of "Peter Pan" starring the transvestite Divine, portrayed by John Candy…and also there is a horse in the 1st race here called Guy Caballero, so… the 3-Modernist has advantage with his success at this distance, many here have not run that far yet…the price on the 7-Caracaro will surely drop as folks look at his speed numbers and his ability to set the pace up front…I think the horse best suited to win here is the 6-Mystic Guide who is coming off a nice performance at Belmont where he beat the 2-Country Grammer for 2nd…tough race where you need to spread a bit Race 10-This race should go through either the 1-Secure Connections or the 2-Doll, but there’s some huge value either underneath or to add to your horizontal tickets…big fan of the sire Palice Malice here in NY and his daughter the 4-Grudge gets Eric Cancel on board and seems to fit…and I do have a soft spot for jockey Sophie Doyle, and this is the kind of filly race where she can cash in big on the 9-Bourbon ‘n Ditch R7-1,4 R8-3,8,4 R9-6,3,7,2,8 R-10-1,2,9,4 .50 ticket for $60 and Race 1 the 8-Rucksack could wire the field...have a great meet everyone! |

What a mess in race #2 with the chain reaction. I had Magic Mojo and the #1. Magic Mojo would have won it. Anything but a DQ wouldn't be justice. The horse was all over the place. |

Race 4-Good luck, think you could make a case for all or most...I ended up on the 5-Valletta and I love the 7-Gran Chemin's daddy, Constitution..not even treading into P4 or P5 early, too tough |

So, here’s my case for the 4-Minit Maus in Race 7 who is m/l odds of 20-1…1st of all, the winnings of this group of fillies ranges from 66K to 36K which is neither a lot of money nor is it a large range which tells me there is no dominant horse. Further the 4 broke her maiden on the turf, and her next race was way over her head and she got demolished, then the owners took her of the grass onto the dirt for sprints, where she again failed…this spring they put her back on the grass and stretched her out at Belmont where she ran two really solid races at this level, on the grass and at this distance…really hope her price stays up or balloons |

Value Alert!...if I'm reading this correctly the "will pays" for the Pick 4 in this race show the 7 is the favorite, and yet in current betting he's offering 5-1!!! |

In my handicapping I ended up on both the 5-Dark Money as well as the 8-Caretaker, but that 7-Thorny Tale is a value |

This is what makes Saratoga tough. Long-shots often find their way into the winner's circle. |

This is all par for the course at Saratoga. You need a different crystal ball. Hopefull Princess in the 8th. |

Thanks, Gentlemen! I had a really good day today. I hate to redboard but I really crushed the race with Big Engine too. Saratoga is a special meet and I'm always looking for horses I think have been pointed to it. I'm not sure if that will be different this year with COVID, but so far, so good. There's one in Saturday that should be a big price. He was scratched out of the fifth race on Saturday at Belmont to go here- The Sicarii. |
