I think this is a great spot for NY Traffic. I am against Authentic in here. I will be trying to get live in horizontals to Max Player, Jesus' Team, Thousand Words, and NY Traffic with extra tickets to Thousand Words and especially NY Traffic. |

Swiss Skydiver. The only reason, which I guess is pretty valid, is that the rider change is Robby Alborado. But if he keeps her near the front, she can beat the boys. |

I meant to say that the only reason that she is 6-1 is because most people hate the jock change. I am thinking that Robby will try his hardest to shut people up. I could see a wire to wire job here. |

I could see a wire to wire job here. I think there's too much speed in here for that. Authentic needs the lead and John R. will try to get it. |

The only problem is that Baffert has never lost the Preakness with a horse that won the Kentucky Derby for him. And he has another star in Thousand Words. Spmack may be onto something. I am seeing a similar statistical pattern with Swiss Skydriver component figs. in simulation that I saw in Authentic in the Kentucky Derby, where Authentic was superior to Tiz the Law. She rates like a 2-1 according to the metric, which gives her value against the 6-1 M/L. I'm conflicted in this race, because I had Thousand Words in the Kentucky Derby before the untimely scratch. If I go with the numbers, then Swiss Skydiver's the one, but her performance against Authentic in the Blue Grass, when she went against the boys, was not inspiring. I will bet NY Traffic for being my heart-of-hearts horse, who should get nice odds at 15-1 or thereabouts. Don't know yet about the others, but probably Swiss Skydiver and Thousand Words, too. Geroux is looking for revenge for being left out of the Derby. |

The danger of this race is to overthink it. Ny Traffic would have to run a very big race to win, and he has not done that yet. I don't think a Thousand Words can hang on the last 1 1/16 mi. Art Collector is not fast enough. So I will go with Authentic, Swiss Skydiver and Pneumatic. |

If anyone wants to understand the inner workings of the "real world" and see the elite speaking to each other in an esoteric encoded language look no further than horse racing i swear to god yall are really dictating the future with these seemingly innocuous messages about horses. It also warms the cackles of my heart to envision uncle Terry out there being that shady guy at the racetrack who knows a thing or two about a horse or two. I hope to god he's wearing a trenchcoat when he's telling the young/er generation about a horse. |

incidentally, some day I've gotta step up to the plate and go to a racetrack. Does anyone wanna take me under their wing and introduce me to the indelible world of horseracing someday? |

Repetition is the key to learning a new language. Say it with me... "Are you fucking kidding me? "Are you FUCKING kidding me!" very good |

Historically, The Preakness is a smaller field than either The Derby or the Belmont, with heavy favorites on top. I think were looking at the same thing here...except that I think the Trifecta could be blown up by a big price. So for your consideration I give you...the 11-Liveyourbeastlife a local closer who will get a ton of pace to finish into...plus he gets Trevor McCarthy who tears it up at this track, at least his return on investment...hoping he stays in that 30-1 range as I will do a trifecta key box (meaning he just needs to finish 1,2,or 3rd) along with with 7 other horses for about $60 and at Keeneland the 10th race is the Shadwell Turf mile and I like a couple of longshots in there as well, although their price will drop with the scratch of Halladay...the 3-Without Parole (12-1) and the 6-Raging Bull (6-1) are both formidable and offers great price, as does to a lesser extent the 4-Bowie's Hero (15-1) Good luck! |

My favorite kind of losses: two separate bets that combined would have won. Oh well...I cheaped out on this hoping stupid N.Y. Traffic would have pulled through. |

Giving credit where credit is due my wife nailed both the winner and the exacta. Plus 25% funding bonus from Twin Spires so all in all a good day here in the shadows of Arlington Park. |
