Baffert's latest science project, Cave Rock, looks stronger at this stage than any of his Triple Crown winners. It's hard to see anyone beating him in the BC Juvenile. Hopefully, next May will be a different story. The last thing anyone should want is this scumbag coming up with yet another "Horse of a Lifetime."
Other than Cave Rock the best two year olds I've seen are Extra Anejo, Loggins, and Signator. I give Loggins an outside shot against Cave Rock in the Juvenile. He was awesome in defeat in the Breeder's Futurity. Forte is a very good horse but I think he's probably peaking earlier than the three I mentioned.
Extra Anejo looked like the real deal on debut. I don't think they'll try to go in the Juvenile with him, but after that race it has to be tempting.
Signator has looked great at Aqueduct. I'm not sure what he's racing against, but I think Shug has a legit Derby horse on his hands.
