For total wins - over/under. Coast? Do you know? If not you might want to hit that under hard. Vick might not play this year. The Falcons are trying to get him to take a leave of absense. If he dosen't they might suspend him or maybe the league will. Vegas doesn't miss anything. I'm sure they are off the board now. But maybe a smart bettor could have hit the under right after he was indicted. |

My last trip to Vegas was about 6 weeks ago, so I couldn’t say for sure, but I highly suspect you would have needed to place that wager before the indictment. |

They must be expecting him to play. ESPN (Pascarelli I think) suggested yesterday that he might play the entire season and not be affected by this until 2008. |

Well even if he does play his mind won't be right this year. I'd take under 7.5. Plus, somebody said that the trial could start as early as 4 months. That would be late October. I'd imagine he'd have to be in court and couldn't practice during the week. Wouldn't he be required to be in court? Maybe not. |

It is off the board at most offshore books other than sportsbook and is off the board at some of the houses in Vegas. I can't speak to all Vegas books. Sportsbook is now 7.5 under -180, so the under is getting pounded hard. I play a few NFL futures for fun, but I don't go very deep on them because I think there are better opportunities week to week and I don't have to tie up my cash nearly five months to cash in. Paying -180 on a future is also a pretty steep price, reflecting a pretty healthy rush toward the under. If you were going to make this bet, you probably should have made it several days ago before it moved so much. I don't like to buy any bet in which I've already lost considerable value from the opener. I also usually like to be different from the crowd, not in the middle of it paying an expensive price. So while this might make sense from a football perspective, it's too much of a Joe Public/lousy value bet for me to make. |

Damn, I missed a major opportunity to play Atlanta under 8 wins for -145. If I only had a wayback machine... |

They may not be any worse with Harrington at QB. |

I agree Coast. Now it's a Joe public bet. But like you said it wasn't a week or so ago right after Vick got pinched. It was a value bet then. Before they made the odds tougher. For those who can still play this keep in mind that Joey Harrington will be the Falcons QB. They're not winning more then 6 games with him. |
