Post subject:  Pick Winners CFB, NFL Week 13

I just flew in from [REDACTED], and man are my arms [REDACTED].

This the last regular week for CFB with the first bowl game in 3 weeks. There are still 5 weeks of NFL left.

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
Dec. 20 / 9 p.m. San Diego, Calif. ESPN
Tie-Ins: Mountain West vs. Navy/At-Large
Projection: Utah vs. *Navy

This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. You can post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest.

Missouri +3 against Oklahoma

Neutral field. I think this line is based entirely upon the general public's wish for Missouri not to be in the title game.

Packers +7.5 at Cowboys

I was shocked when this line came out. I figured it should be between 4 and 5. I think you could make the argument that the Packers are the superior team at this point. Dallas can be thrown on and nobody is doing it better these days then the Pack. I LOVE it at 7.5 but would still play it the same all the way down to 5.5.

EDITED AND NOW I AM TAKING

Cowboys -7 against Pack

I thought about this a little. I am no genius and this line shocked me. I don't have much faith in the rest of the world so I assume they were shocked as well. The natural result would be to jump on the Pack. Now, why would Vegas set a line that everyone would jump to on one side? Further, according to sites, the public IS playing the Pack. Even with the public playing them the line moved from 6.5 to 7. Then I see Nas and some other respected people on the Cowboys. My gambling senses are tingling on this one.

I still like the over, as both teams can be thrown on and both teams are strong at throwing.

Rutgers +2.5 at Louisville

Cards will not be able to stop Rice on D. Rutgers will be able to get a few stops on Cards O. Two disappointing teams but Louisville is the more disappoint

Dolphins -1.5 against Jets
Colts -6 aginst JAX

Louisville- 2.5 vs Rutgers- dissapointing teams here, Louisville at home should take it.

Packers +7 vs Cowboys- WIth the Packers strong D, keeps it a touchdown or less.

Does the highlighted part mean you really like that pick Nas?

On the one hand I would go opposite you on both of those. On the other hand you won like 15 games in a row last week. On the other hand what are the chances you will be that good this week. You have me so confused.

Army +14 vs Navy- Know more about Navy, just like to see Army win.

USC -19.5 vs Ucla- THe Bruins don't have much, especially after what should be a strong season last year, but don't, Trojans Roll.

West Virginia -28.5 vs Pittsburgh- I wouldn't mind seeing Pitt win, being a Georgia fan, but I see the Mountainners putting this one away early.

Central Michigan -3 vs Miami OH- Central Michigan is a good team that wil take care of this one and have back to back MAC titles.

Boston College +4.5 vs Virginia Tech- Boston College got them once and gets them again.

Missouiri +3 vs Oklahoma- I like Missouri to go the the national title game.

Week 14 Early CFB

Army @ Navy -14

Midshipmen have a real team and will crush the Black Knights.

Tulsa @ Central Florida -7 1/2

This game has the chance of having more points than the Wash-Hawaii game. Tulsa fades in the second half.

MAC Championship

Central Michigan -3 @ Miami Ohio

The directional Michigan schools have yet another post season better than the Maize and Blue.

ACC Championship

Va. Tech. -4 @ BC

Boston College will figure out some way to screw this game up. Bring on the gripfest for Frank Beamers special teams.

Lines from WSEX

NCAA

Oklahoma -3 vs Missouri

Sooners have the Tigers number, pro Sooner crowd in San Antonio.

Hawaii -13.5 vs Washington

Hawaii looks to secure a BCS bowl bid with a big win over the Huskies.

Boston College +5 vs Va. Tech

Eagles do enough to keep this one close.

Navy -14 vs Army

Navy's offense will be too much for Army to contain. Midshipmen win big.

UCLA +19.5 @ USC

In a rivalry game like this, take the points, especially this many.

NFL

Washington -6 vs Buffalo

Have to think the Skins come out inspired and beat a depleted Bills team.

Kansas City +6 vs San Diego

Chargers have been too inconsistent, and KC is always tough at home.

Cleveland +1 @ Arizona

Banged up Cardinals secondary should let the Browns rack up the points.

Oakland +3.5 vs Denver

First game was close in Denver, take the Raiders and the points at home.

Phildelphia -3 vs Seattle

Long fly to Philly for the Seahawks, Eagles stay in the wild card hunt.

Lions +4 vs Vikings- everybody saying Vikings, I seen what happens when everybody goes one way.

Jaguars +7 vs Colts- If the Jaguars want to prove their real, need to win this one.

Broncos -3.5 vs Raiders- I think the Broncos bounce back after last week's tough loss.

Giants -1 vs Bears- I think the Giants Defense will be too tough for the Bears offense.

Bears +1 Eli's misery carries into chicago. look for him to throw 3 more picks in a pretty ugly game the bears pull out due to their defense

Chicago/NY Under 39

Detroit +5.5 Definitely a trap game here, Detroit wins this outright exposing Vikings non existant pass defense *ignoring last week*

Tennessee -3.5 Tenn will bounce back strong at home, this won't be close

Miami -2 Dolphins to get their first win. 1976 Tampa Bay pop your champagne

Indy -6.5 They blew them out on the road they sure as hell will at home

Arizona -1 I am dropping off the Browns band wagon and betting on Kurt Warner *putting gun to my head*

Looks like I'm late on this one with others buying a better line. Shouldn't make much of a difference here as they will be up big by half-time.
