Post subject:  Pick Winners CFB, NFL Week 14

This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. You can post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest.

Arizona & Seattle over 44.5

On the turf this should be a high scoring affair.

Saints -4.5

N.O. wins big in the ATL on Monday night.

Vikings -8.5, over 39.5

Purple Jesus will have another big day in a game where S.F. puts up some points to push the two teams over.

Redskins -3

Heard Hub say that given the events surrounding the late Shawn Taylor he'd be shocked if Washington wins during a short week. The Bear, however, are bad and this will be the true dedication game for Washington.

Steelers +10 The Patriots should have lost on Monday night.
Vikings -9 Adrian Peterson is hot. The Niners are not.
Browns -3.5 Browns 9-2 ATS off a road game.
Packers -10.5 Do I need to explain?
Bills -7 Miami is 1-8 ATS against divisional opponents.

Jacksonville -10.5
They never seem to win the big games, but pound teams like Carolina.

In hoping for a Bears victory and based on my "winning" percentage this year, I'm going to take the Redskins (-3).

Edit: I'm on a roll now  .

Week 15 Two Weeks Until the Poinsettia Bowl

Bears +3 @ WASH (39 1/2)

Sloppy game played by misguided underachivers. And that's just the coaches! ZING!

Another give the home team 3 points game, which means it's a tossup.

Take the under.

Bears 0 WASH 2

From WSEX...

Lions +10.5 vs Cowboys

Lions somehow find a way to keep this one close. Cowboys due for a letdown.

Vikings -8.5 @ 49ers

Vikes march to the playoffs continues against a bad 49ers team.

Steelers +10.5 @ Pats

Pats seem to be coming down to earth, and this is too many points to concede.

Raiders +10.5 @ Packers

Packers come out flat after 10 days off, Raiders do enough on the ground to keep it within a touchdown.

Cardinals +7 @ Seahawks

Tough divisional game, Cardinals want it more to stay in the hunt out West.

Browns -3.5 @ Jets

Jets get back to reality by getting blown out courtesy of the Browns.

From thegreek.com:

Jacksonville -10.5 over Carolina
Carolina won't be able to move the ball much against JAX

Dallas -10.5 over Detroit
Roy Williams' injury really hurts Detroit's passing attack

Miami +7 against Buffalo
Miami will still be winless, but the game will be close

Philadelphia -3 over NY Giants
Philly's defense won't let the Giants off the hook like the Bear's defense did

Green Bay -10 over Oakland
Packers too much for the Raiders at home

Pittsburgh +10.5 against New England
Don't know if the Steelers will win (I hope they do) but that's a lot of points to give to one of the better AFC teams

San Diego +1 over Tennessee
San Diego needs to play well down the stretch

St. Louis +7.5 against Cincinatti
I think Cincy will win but the Rams will run the ball to keep it close

Tampa Bay -3 over Houston
Tampa needs this game to gain momentum into the playoffs

Seattle -7 over Arizona
Only because of the uncertainty of the Cardinal's WR's

San Francisco +8.5 against Minnesota
Giving the 49ers the benefit of the doubt for being at home but will still lose the game

Cleveland -3.5 over NY Jets
Browns offense too much for the Jets

Denver -6.5 over Kansas City
Chiefs qb troubles spells trouble for them. KC should just run the ball every play

Indianapolis -9 over Baltimore
The Ravens blew their load on Monday verse the Patriots

Giants +3 vs Eagles- The Giants keep the playoff push going and put the Eagles out of any chance for the playoffs.

Cardianls +7 vs Seahawks- The biggest road game for the Cardinals since the playoff win over the Cowboys and the Cards play tough.

Falcons +3.5 Falcons could cover at home against the 'aints.
Seahawks -7 Cards secondary is a mess.
Rams +9 Number is too generous to pass up against Bungles.
Titans +1 Chargers too inconsistant for me to pick on the road.

New England -10.5 Back to the 35-3 at halftime phenomenons

Indy -9 R U kidding me? Baltimore is absolutely terrible

Carolina +10.5 Simply too many points, Carolina played pretty well last week and will keep this close

Monday Night Football

Saints -4 Chris Redmond? Petrino's reaching at straws here. Brees won't need Bush to get the job done.

Saints vs. Falcons Under 44 Saints hold up their end of the bargain, The Falcons struggle to score 10 points.

yep yep, staying above 70% at this point is like trying to hang in tetris when the pieces go to warp speed, i'll give it my best shot though.
