LSU -4.5 I watched the championship game last year, and I see more of the same this year. The Luckeyes have not seen a team even close to as good as the Tigers who are basically playing a home game. Florida -10 Michigan's defense is just awful. They really struggle against offenses with mobile quarterbacks. Henne and Hart have been banged up all year, and Lloyd Carr is the last guy I want coaching in a big game. Tebow is going to have a field day. Virginia Tech -3 This is my favorite play on the board. Except for a blowout against LSU and the last two minutes against BC, this team has been unbeatable. Kansas is a good team, and has been the feel good story of this college season, but they were exposed against Missouri. USC -13 The Trojans are loaded and the Illini will be happy to be in the sunshine on New Years Day. I love Carroll over Zook in game any day, and this game is right in their back yard. |

It's time to get it started. I'm going to try to give a pick on every game. In the past I have always been strong on the early bowls and then give it all back on New Years Day. Since I play with a local, I will move the lines to what I get when I get em when appropriate. Utah -9 aginst Navy in San Diego (the line moved a good 1.5 between 2 and 8 pm). I usually am sceptical about gimmick offenses in bowl games, especially against good defenses. Navy will try to run the wishbone against the #2 D in the country. I don't expect them to have much success. On the other side, Utah has more than enough offense to put up 30 on the Middies...probably more. Utah in a cakewalk. Fuck! It looked like I had an unearned cover and Navy gets a 58 yard TD pass. 0-1 Florida Atlantic -2.5 against Memphis in New Orleans Shitty bowl. FAU will have first time enthusiasm but a coach who has been there many times before. Bad Memphis D allows FAU to move the ball consistently. Turnovers are the key to this game. Both are good at getting them but FAU does not turn it over much. The FAU blocked punt was the key to the game. I also took the over 67. It was nice to see 50 on the board by halftime. Southern Miss +11 against Cincinnatti in Birmingham One of the most underrated and I consider legendary coaches in the game, Bower, got a raw deal. I think his team plays inspired for him. I really like the under 55 as well. 2-1. Things have been going well so far as I have been correct on both the line and O/U on the last two games (in real time, I have not been officially doing O/U here). Unfortunately, while waiting for it this one to come in the window closed on Nevada/New Mexico. Nevada +3 at New Mexico Home game for New Mexico. They are without their top rusher and backup is smaller than Garret Wolfe. This should be a shootout and I think Nevada has more weapons. 2-2. Oops BYU -6.5 against UCLA in Las Vegas A home game for BYU and an uninspired UCLA team mean a nice chance to cover. 2-3. I am suck East Carolina +11.5 against Boise State in Hawaii ECU will run the ball on BSU to keep this one close. 3-3. Nice straight up win for a big dog Central Michigan +7.5 against Purdue in Detroit Purdue crushed CMU earlier this year. That was without main cog QB Lefevour. CMU has enough O to keep this within the points. The O/U is a huge 71.5...but I would still take the over. Purdue averages 33 and they are playing a bad CMU D. 4-3. Back over .500 and I have been killing on those O/U during this season. The over came in before the end of the third quarter. Arizona State +2.5 against Texas in San Diego Looks to me like the better team is the underdog. At best this should be a pickem. On defense Texas is giving up almost 300 yards per game in the air and ASU has the weapons to exploit it. Texas run defense is good, but who needs to run when you can throw. Texas has a balanced offensive attack but they tend to give up lots of turnovers. Not good against an opportunistic ASU D. Gotta think about the over 62 as well since the Holiday Bowl ALWAYS seems to go over. 4-4. Well that sucked. I know that Texas was the better team but I cannot help but think ASU wins that game without the turnovers. On the good side I have been golden on O/U. Boston College -5 against Michigan State I liked MSU heading into this one. Theses are two teams that I have seen play on multiple occasions and I think the losses of SirDean and Saint Dic are going to be huge. Those guys were the type who make game changing type of plays. I imagine some points are going to be scored in this one so take the over. Houston +6.5 against TCU in Houston TCU is a good team to fade on the road. They were 2-4 with only a 2 point victory against Stanford and a destruction of SD State. Houston at home and I think there O is good enough to keep it within 7. Oregon State -4.5 against Maryland Always like Friedgen in bowls but I don't think he gets it done here. He just does not have the offensive weapons to match his genius and OSU D is good 5-6. Let's get em today Wake -2.5 against Uconn in Charlotte Game is only 90 miles from Wake. Wake is the better team and laying under three on a not so neutral field. I love the under 47.5 in this one also. Central Florida -3 against Miss. St. Mississippi State gives up about 150 yards rushing per game. Not a good defensive trait to have when the opposing team's RB has gained almost 2,500 this year. Penn St. -5 against Texas A + M Find a casket for JoePa? You mean the same kind of casket you found for Franchione. Alabama -3.5 against Colorado An average offense against a very good defense and an average defense against a bad offense. I'll take the team with the one area of obvious strenght. This one might be the biggest stinker of a bowl played between two national programs. 8-7...and now comes the bermuda triangle. Air Force +4 against Cal Everything I see says Cal does not want to be here and they are playing the ultimate in preparedness...a military academy. Even if they were motivated Cal gives up an awful lot of yards on the ground which just happens to be AFA's strenght South Florida -6 against Oregon The six seems a bit heavy. Oregon has a good D and USF is nothing special on O. On the other hand I just don't see Oregon being able to move the ball against a superior and athletic D with a 4th string QB. |

East Carolina @ Boise St. -10 1/2 (67) Weak pass D mean bad things will happen to the Pirates. Expect BSU to take the green uni's from the Hawai'i locker room to blend with the field(and the empty seats). Take the under. ECU 21 BSU 45 |

Michigan State +4.5 vs Boston College- I know Sparty has lost key players for this game, but I see Michigan State playing well to keep it close, if not win. Oregon State -4.5 vs Maryland- This should be the easiest cover on Friday, Maryland has no quarterback and the Beavers are playing excellent right now. |
