Post subject: | Pick Winners CFB, NFL BCS WEEK |
This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. You can post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest. ***Note: This is the final week of the contest. College only, Jan.1-Jan.7. The final game is the beatdown of the Luckeyes at the hands of the very deep Tigers of LSU. I'll go with Oklahoma (-7.5) over West Virginia tonight. Although WV might be more motivated after their coach abandoned them, I think this will work against them. |

How high will the number go for West Virginia? It is up to 9 at bodog. If it goes to 10, I will be unloading on the Mountaineers. |

Virginia Tech -3 vs Kansas- Kansas coming off a loss and Va. Tech playing some of the best football at year's end and they have one of the best defenses in the nation and stop the KU offense. |

Week 19 Part II End Of The Ro-ad Kansas v. Va. Tech -3 Kansas O outmatched by Hokies D. Fear not Jayhawk fan, you're more than a b-ball school now. Enjoy being 5th best in your conference next year. Ball State + 10 1/2 v. Rutgers Rutgers D Pass Yds/Gm 160.6(2nd) against Ball State O Pass Yds/Gm 284.4(21st). Ball State can hang on The Skydome, ERR, Rogers Centre turf. Bowling Green v. Tulsa -4 1/2 Shoostout alert! Both have great passing games, but BG lack of RB will make the difference. BCS Title Game LSU - 3 1/2 v. THE LUCKEYES The Purple and Gold clowncar will save money on gas for the short trip down I-10. Ohio St. doesn't have the firepower to hang with the big dogs, or cats in this case. |

Already missed the International Bowl. My kids are picking (from thegreek.com): Bowling Green +4.5 against Tulsa Ohio State +3.5 against LSU For the record, they picked Rutgers -10.5 over Ball St (line is from the Sun-Times). I don't even know what the score is for that game. |

Ohio State +3.5 vs LSU- I hope Ohio State wins this one and puts it on LSU. I think the Buckeyes will need to run the ball and play defense just like the 02 team. Since LSU put it on VIrginia Tech, they have struggled to beat teams since then, so go Buckeyes. Fun COntest, hopefully it will be back next year. |
