Perhaps he's just a guy who tries to find the best edge on the board. He wasn't alone in liking the over on that game last night, though there were a few wise guys on both sides of that one. Sports like WNBA do have nice edges from time to time because the lines may not be quite as tight as they are in other sports. I happen to think that generally, WNBA totals offer more value night to night than any baseball bet on the board. And I know guys who are making a helluva lot more money in the WNBA this summer than they are in baseball...and they are good baseball bettors. You may consider that "hard core". I consider it "smart". |

I've got a buddy who makes a nice sum every spring betting the women's NCAA tournament. I'f I had the patience I'd sit down and master the Arena football league. It's probably a lot easier than the closely followed leagues, where edges are razor-sharp. |
