WVU -3 on Thursday night ... the Mountaineers should be able to right the ship after a stunning East Carolina debacle. Colorado hasn't faced that tough off a schedule, and should struggle against the WV run game. |

Colorado +3 against West Virginia I usually lean towards a home dog on a Thursday night nationally televised game. Colorado is a team on the come as they learn the Hawkins offense. This will be a coming out party for baby hawkins. Temple +28.5 at Penn St. Temple is a resurgent program. They should have beat Buffalo last week on the road. They play nice red zone D which should result in some FG rather than TD as PSU tries to make this big number. Ohio +11.5 at Northwestern NU has not looked particularly dominating in any game this year. This seems like an outrageously high number to me. Auburn +2.5 against LSU Big matchup. I'll take the home tigers but wish I was getting 3. Navy +5.5 against Rutgers Someone needs to wake the gambling public up to tell them that this is not the Rutgers of the last 3 years. Navy has their main QB back with a game under his belt. A strong running attack just gets stronger. I LOOOVE this game. Wake Forest +5 at Florida State Wake is now the legitimate program with a killler D and FSU is the wannabe. I see no reason the deacons don't come in and win this one straight up. Michigan State -8.5 against ND I saw nothing last week that told me ND is a good team. They seemed absolutely ready to give that game to Michigan in the second half. They won't get out to the same quick start against MSU and they will play badly from behind Ball State +3 at Indiana This one should be a lot of fun to watch. Two great offenses. I like the fighting Dan Mc Neil's in this one. Texas A and M +3 against Miami Is Miami really a good enough team to be laying points on the road in a tough place to play? This one is kind of like ND v. UM last week...it would have been a great matchup in days gone by. Troy +20.5 at Ohio State This will not be the cakewalk some think. Troy is a perennial league champion who plays tough D. OSU has not looked particularly good at any point this year. I have a feeling there confidence is shaken. They will be pressing to make big plays and I don't think it will come in this one. BEARRRRS -3 against Bucs Home opener. Bears have matched up well against two tough opponents on the road. Bucs will be starting Griese which means they will not be throwing downfield. Even if the wanted to Galloway is out. This means the Bears will be stacking the line against Graham/Dunn. I think Orton will have a big game. Panthers +3.5 at Vikings Peppers gets his first sack in 10 months against the statuesque Frerotte. Peterson will not play but either way the RB of this game will be Jonathan Stewart. Steelers +3.5 at Eagles Steeler D is looking good. Eagles look soft on D and I think the offensive explosion is a bit of a mirage. Browns +2.5 at Ravens LOOVE this game. I think the wrong team is favored. Browns have been down the past couple of weeks but this is not the second coming of the Bengals. Browns have +talent at every offensive position, including the line. That does not just turn to shit in an offseason. |

Ill take WVA -3 Even the tepid mounties should be ok here, I like COL, but you're asking too much from them to stay in this one UCF +15.5 can hang versus the eagle, BC has dropped alot with the loss of Ryan and UCF should be able to hand with them Wyoming BYU over 51.5 Wyoming should be able to score at least 17 here, BYU can do the rest Utah -9 this is not the air force teams of old. Utah D can handle Mich and should be able to lock down AF fresno state -7 ASU GA UNDER 50.5 |

College Saturday: Arkansas +9 vs Alabama Central Michigan +10.5 at Purdue NC State +7 vs ECU Tennessee +7.5 vs Florida Miami of Ohio +11.5 at Cincinatti NFL Sunday: Houston +5 at Tennessee Washington -3 vs Arizona Minnesota -3.5 vs. Carolina San Francisco -4 vs Detroit As before, the rationale on these picks is that the public is betting heavily on the other side and the books continue to attempt to draw in money on the side that's already heavy. The only exception is SF vs. Detroit, where SF is drawing in most of the money and the books were happy to shade the line from an open at -3.5 to -4. They won't go further because they won't risk the middle across 4, but their willingness to move the line shows a certain lack of faith in the original line. |

Toledo +7 vs. Fresno Hangover for a Fresno team that saw their dreams of a super BCS bowl season go up in smoke. Wake +5 vs. FSU Running dog that has had the Noles number recently, and FSU has a rookie QB on the road. Auburn-LSU Under 38 Two very, very good defenses. Auburn hasn't shown much on offense, but I'm starting to wonder how much they have to show. LSU starting a rookie on the road. San Jose State +8 vs. Stanford San Jose State students were known back in the day for going to Leland Stanford's farm and losing football games, but stealing the rich, smart chicks wearing red away from all the nerdy Stanford guys. This week, Spartan men have a shot at both ends of the deal. |

College Football 4 pack from pinnacle sports LSU -2 vs Auburn- I like the Tigers to win this one, Auburn has a good D, but LSU will score more than 2. Pittsburgh Pick over Iowa- Iowa can play defense, but struggle on offense, questions at quarterback, Pitt needs it, so I like the Panthers. Wake Forest +5 vs Florida State- The Deamon Deacons have won 2 straight in this series, FSU hasn't played anybody and Wake keeps it close and may win this one. Florida -7.5 vs Tennesee- I think the Volunteers get mauled by the Gators, Tennesee lost to UCLA and struggled vs UAB, Gators will show how good they are in this one. |

From sportsbook.com NCAA Arkansas +9 vs Alabama Going on the road is tough in the SEC, giving 9 is even tougher. Ohio St. -20.5 vs Troy Buckeyes have a lot to prove, and take it out on Troy. Under 69.5 Texas/Rice Many points will be scored, but not seven touchdowns worth in this one. NFL Patriots -12.5 vs Dolphins Pats look to improve their offense minus Brady, they win by at least two touchdowns. Jags +5.5 @ Colts Jacksonville's season is on the line and always play the Colts tough. Over 37.5 Panthers/Vikings Return of Steve Smith, and no Tavaris Jackson should make for some offense. |

Week 4 Top 25 Rundown Georgia -7 @ Arizona St. ASU QB Carpenter will get beat up by Bulldog D. Florida @ Tennessee +7 1/2 Urban Meyer is a cheat and sneaks away with a victory. Buffalo U +31 1/2 @ Mizzou Yes we know Chase and friends are unstoppable, but stay within four TD's. LSU -2 @ Auburn LSU has new smaller clowncar of stars, but get 10 points. Memo to Auburn: Have fun at the Sugar Bowl this year. Rice @ Texas -28 Colt Cabana throws seven TD's. Alabama -8 1/2 @ Arkansas Team Saban rolls up second level SEC Razorbacks. Punk coach grudge match. U Mass @ Texas Tech ? The Minutemen have a football team? Couldn't find a line on this game. I'd take the Red Raiders. A little help on the number please. South Florida @ Florida Atlantic +28 1/2 The Bulls will kick ass on the road, but FAU keeps some of us happy. Troy +21 @ Ohio State Buckeyes win and fail to inspire. Wyoming @ BYU -28 BYU tries to score 100 points. Cowboys may get 20. East Carolina -7 @ N. Carolina St. Pirates keep the dream alive. Arrrggh! Temple @ Penn State -29 Joe Pa and his wholesome young men refute allegations this will be a close game. Boise St. @ Oregon -10 Ducks RB's overcome QB shortage. No blue turf to help you here Junior! Wake Forest +5 @ Florida St. FSU played Western Carolina and Chattanooga to get their 2-0 and 24th ranking. Pretender! Sam Houston St (1-0, 0-0 away) (19) Kansas (2-1, 2-0 home) (20) Utah (3-0, 1-0 MWC) Air Force (3-0, 1-0 MWC) South Carolina St (2-1, 1-0 MEAC) (23) Clemson (2-1, 1-0 ACC) (25) Fresno St (1-1, 1-0 away) Toledo (1-1, 1-0 MAC) |

College Football Saturday - WHOA NELLIE! Troy +21 @ tOSU: Beanie Wells is out and tOSU offense has looked pedestrian this year. While their D is good, I expect Troy to keep this one close. (Win) ECU -7 @ NC State: NC State is really down. They covered last week @ Clemson but they were getting almost 3 TDs. They can't run the ball which is usually their bread and butter and they can't throw it either. Raleigh will not be rocking.(Loss - damn rivalry games) Ohio @ Northwestern UNDER 52: This could be a good one in Evanston. Northwestern's defense is the reason I like this to go under. They have been getting after it on that side of the ball and with a team that averages 3 TOs a game, they should be able to keep this score low. (Win) |

Lines from either Oddsmaker or SBG Georgia -7 over Az St Alot of talk about how Az St looked ahead last week to this one which is why they lost to UNLV. I will stick with the better overall team who had a close one last week themselves. Georgia gets this one going away late. Miss St +7.5 over GT Dog is the way to go when GT plays, 13-2 run. Miss St played Auburn tough last week, and they should be able to score a little more than they did last week. Wake +5 over Flor St Wake has covered last 4 in series winning last 2 SU as a dog. Wake has had 2 weeks to get ready for this one. A 3rd straight SU win wouldnt suprise me. Air Force +9.5 over Utah Dog has covered 10 of last 11 in series. Good enough for me to take the home pup today. E Carolina -7 over NC St NC St is just bad early in the season. E Carolina had their downer game last week but still won. I expect a better effort today against NC St. NC St also 0-6 ATS their last six after playing Clemson. Fresno -7 over Toledo Freson outplayed Wisconsin last week but still lost by 3. Looking at their schedule that has a good chance of being their only loss of the year. Fresno is a veteran team and I think they can name their score today at Toledo. Vandy +7 over Missisipi Vandy 7-1 ATS in this series. Miss also 0-10 ATS in their SEC opener the last 10 years. |

From thegreek.com: Michigan St (-8.5) over Notre Dame Charlie Weis is gonna have to use his crutches to try and trip up the Spartans. Georgia (-7) over Arizona State Last week was too close a call for the Bulldogs. They'll want to get back on track this week in prime time. Ball State (+3) against Indiana I was impressed with Ball State when I saw them last year against Illinois. Chicago (-3) over Tampa Bay I usually don't pick the Bears, but I think they force Greise into too many mistakes. Baltimore / Cleveland under (38) Baltimore has no offense but I believe their defense holds the Browns in check. |
