Post subject:  NASCAR Pick 'em Playoffs: Week 7 Atlanta

Everybody pick a driver each week. Nobody picks the same guy, picking is first come first served. The thread will be posted weekly AFTER QUALIFYING. Then, starting with the first Chase race at New Hampshire, the posters shall be assigned to the driver corresponding in the NEXTEL CUP standings. They keep this driver for the duration of the Chase. The players will also get to pick a driver out of the Chase to make things more interesting. And rack up the points for the championship.

For the second driver picked each week, you cannot pick one of the leftover chase drivers. The chase drivers not picked are effectively dead to us. Until they wreck out your guy and then you'll wish they were someplace else.

Guys, I'm a Miller Lite guy, and if he's available, SHARK wants the #2 Miller Lite Dodge of Kurt Busch to hopefully keep things interesting in suburban Atlanta Sunday...

How do I have more points than CoF and yet I am behind him?

Easy there or Jerry Lewis will call NASCAR a f@g sport too.

Montoya got screwed and I'm still stuck in the basement.

the number at the top is your previous points...the number at the bottom (before the next name) is your total with this week's points added in.

Post subject:  Re: NASCAR Pick 'em Playoffs: Week 7 Atlanta

While it felt pretty good that Carl Edwards backflipped after his #99 Office Depot Ford won yesterday, the story of that race was Jimmie Johnson, folks. The driver of the #48 Lowe's Chevy actually made quite a comeback, and the commentators on ABC Sports (ESPN on ABC) made note of that in the waning laps of the race. Jimmie was as far back as 30th place at one point after NASCAR penalized the overall points leader for speeding on pit road. Jimmie somehow found a way to finish 2nd on the final lap to beat out Denny Hamlin's #11 FedEx TOYOTA, Matt Kenseth's #17 USG Ford & Kyle Busch's #18 M&M's TOYOTA. With a return to Texas Motor Speedway Sunday for the Dickies 500, Jimmie now leads Carl by 183 points in the "Chase for the Cup" points standings with 3 races remaining.
