***Note CFB games Everyday, NFL Thursday*** This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. Post them all at once or in separate posts, but they must be posted in the current week's contest thread. Post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest. ______________ThisWeek___Total______% BoilermakerRick___3-1_______12-3______80 Evergreen Tommy_7-2_______14-6-1____70 Rocks and Blows__0-0_______2-1_______67 Albert Hofmann___0-0_______21-12-2___64 Bud Dude________8-6_______66-49-1___57.4 Coast2Coast_____10-9______57-45-3___55.9 DarrenTinleyPark__2-3_______30-24-3___55.6 Chus___________12-10______96-77-6___55.5 Hawkeye Vince___0-5________23-20____54 WaltWilliamsNeck__6-2_______49-42-3___53.8 shultzyy_________5-8_______35-31-4___53.0 Irish Boy_________0-0_______21-19-1___53 donspiracy_______6-6_______52-47-3___52.5 muman89________5-1_______35-32-4___52.2 Colonel Angus____11-15______98-91-6__51.9 good dolphin______0-0_______37-35____51.4 RFDC____________4-6_______46-46-2___50.0 Nas_____________13-13-2___31-31-2___50.0 MattMurtonsBeard__6-4_______15-15____50 reents____________4-4_______56-57-1__49.6 schmitty1121______8-3_______64-66-5__49.2 newper___________0-1_______20-21-3__49 sabu_____________0-7_______29-31____48.3 a retard__________0-0_______4-5______44 City of Fools______0-0_______3-4______43 M_C_____________0-0_______18-29-1__38 At Large__________0-0_______0-1______0 OverallStandings CFBWeek 1 60-43___58.3% NFLWeek 1 87-78-9_52.7 NFLWeek 2 86-70-9_55.1 NFLWeek 3 101-103-5_49.5 NFLWeek 4 83-79-4_51.3 NFLWeek 5 84-65-9_56.4 NELWeek 6 91-89-5_50.6 NFLWeek 7 102-96-1_51.5 NFLWeek 8 125-107-7_53.9 NFLWeek 9 110-106-2_50.9 _Total__929-836-51_52.6 Please let me know if any of the totals are incorrect. I have that my record for last weekend was 11-15. I only won with Air Force, Duke, Texas A&M, USC, Texas Tech, Funtucky, Georgia Tech, TCU, Rice, the Falcons and the Iggles. I lost with Louisville, Virginia, UConn, Minnesota, Mizzou, San Diego St., E. Michigan, Notre Dame, Hawaii, UGA, Oregon, Navy, the Browns, da Bears and the Skins. Unless I missed something, got a score wrong. http://score670.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=25939 |

Ball State -9 (sportsbook) vs. NIU -National tv and another statement game for Ball State Wisconsin -9.5 vs. Indiana -Wisconsin isn't good. Indiana is worse. Pretty much going to go against Indiana for the rest of the year Ohio State -11 vs. Northwestern -It's a lot of points to give for a buckeye offense that can struggle at times but I think OSU plays well in a very friendly road stadium Purdue +9 vs. Michigan State -I think this game stays close. I don't think Purdue wins, but I'm feeling confident they keep it close towards the end. Penn State -7.5 vs. Iowa -Penn State is focused and used to playing in difficult environments. They won't look past Iowa. Minnesota -7.5 vs. Michigan -I think there is good value here because people continue to doubt Minnesota and all they are doing is winning. |

Thursday from Pinnacle Sports TCU -1.5 vs Utah- TCU has been playing well and Utah struggled a little last week. Broncos +3.5 vs Browns- I don't think Brady Quinn helps the Browns to a win, looks better, but Cutler should turn it around in this game and hopefully can run the ball. |

Thursday Night NFL (all lines from The Greek) Browns -3 vs Broncos Brady Quinn and the Browns offense are too much for a battered Broncos defense. Saturday NCAA Northwestern +10 1/2 vs Ohio St. Cats keep this up and just barely missing pull off the outright upset. Vanderbilt +24 vs Florida Vandy does enough at home in primetime to make this a game against the Gators. Under 48 Alabama/LSU Both teams trade enough punches to keep the points down. NFL Sunday Under 38 1/2 Bears/Titans This game has a 13-10 feel to it. Over 44 Jets/Rams Two mediocre defenses and two teams that will look to put up some points. Chiefs +15 1/2 @ Chargers As bad as the Chiefs are, seems like too many points for an above average Chargers squad. Dolphins -8 vs Seahawks Seahawks make the longest road trip possible in the NFL and get beat handily by the Fins. NFL Monday Cardinals -9 1/2 vs 49ers Cardinals destroy Singletary's 49er squad at home. |

Week 11 Top 25 Rundown Alabama -3 @ LSU LSU has split its past four games after a 4-0 start. The Tigers have won the past five games between the teams. Team Saban D too much for LSU. Oklahoma State +3 1/2 @ Texas Tech OSU run attack will try to offset the Red Raiders pass game. After Oklahoma State, Texas Tech visits No. 6 Oklahoma -- another one-loss division rival. TT may not win either game. Total is only 69 1/2. Penn State -7 1/2 @ Iowa Clark and the Penn State offense will likely try to get the ball downfield against an Iowa defense that's given up at least 250 yards passing in its past two games. PSU gets 30 while the Hawkeyes get into double digits. Baylor +28 @ Texas This game will be a blowout and if The Horns can put up fiddy the Bears will scare up three TD's. Florida -24 @ Vanderbilt Florida must avoid a letdown against a Vanderbilt team the Gators have defeated 17 straight times. With a win over Vandy, Florida will win the SEC East. The Commodores need one more win to become bowl-eligible. Oklahoma -27 1/2 @ Texas A&M Texas A&M, which last beat Oklahoma 30-26 on Nov. 9, 2002 when the Sooners were ranked No. 1, is 0-2 versus Top 25 opponents this season, losing to Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. Fiddy by halftime, again. California @ USC -22 USC has taken no prisoners since losing to Oregon State on Sept. 25, outscoring foes 214-20. Trojans can be half as good as last week and still cover easy. The Cal QB has a problem, he's playing USC. Utah State @ Boise State -35 Utah State has dropped 22 straight against ranked teams, including each of its three matchups this season. It is just 1-47 all-time versus teams in the AP poll, losing all 37 road contests. The unbeaten Broncos have rolled to a 147-26 scoring advantage in winning all four of their conference games. Ohio State @ Northwestern +10 1/2 Buckeyes win and fail to inspire. Drippy conditions don't help the OSU cause. Georgia -12 @ Kentucky The Dawgs have won 10 of their past 11 against the Wildcats. Will score more than 10 points this week. Kentucky is looking to win consecutive SEC games for just the second time this decade. The Wildcats defeated Mississippi State, Georgia and Vanderbilt from Oct. 28-Nov. 11, 2006. Kansas State +27 @ Missouri The Wildcats have dropped three straight and need to win two of their last three games to become bowl-eligible. The Tigers should be able to find their rhythm on offense against the Wildcats (4-5, 1-4), who have the second-worst defense in the Big 12 (444.7 yards per game) and have allowed 110 points in their last two games. San Diego State @ Brigham Young -36 1/2 BYU has had a couple close calls in its past two games, but isn't likely to feel the same pressure from SDSU, which hasn't won a league game yet. Points Scored SDSU 18.1 per game 110th in the nation. BYU gets fiddy plus. SDSU has 47 points in five road games. Don't expect them to get 10 points with 10 kickoffs. Purdue (3-6, 1-4 Big Ten) (18) Michigan St (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten) (20) Georgia Tech (7-2, 4-2 ACC) (19) North Carolina (6-2, 2-2 ACC) Clemson (4-4, 2-3 ACC) (22) Florida St (6-2, 3-2 ACC) Cincinnati (6-2, 2-1 Big East) (25) West Virginia (6-2, 3-0 Big East) |

hawkeye Vince in the house after the bad beat Michigan @ Minnesota -7.5 - Hate the hook, but Michigan is not a good football team on turf. Wisconsin -9.5 @ Indiana: I expect bad weather at IU with Wisconsin able to run the ball and win this to keep their bowl hopes alive. Illinois vs Western Michigan +8 AND OVER 60: This has trap game written all over it with the recent win to Iowa and Ohio State coming to town next week. Expect a shoot out at Ford Field. Kansas +1 @ Nebraska: Both of these teams are suspect in terms of who they have beaten, but Kansas's high powered O hit on all cylinders last week and will bring it to Lincoln against a poor Nebraska defense. 2-3 by my count. Win Wisky and WMU, loss the rest. |

Saturday from Pinnacle Sports Oklahoma -27 vs Texas A&M- Oklahoma with this offense should get this one easy, and if it doesn't go well in Lubbock could be going for the national title. Penn State -7.5 vs Iowa- I think with the week off and Penn State staying at 3rd, I could see them running up the score. Alabama -3 vs LSU- I think Alabama gets this one, LSU has struggled lately on defense, Alabama plays good on defense and has enough offense. West Virginia -6.5 vs Cincinnati- West Virginia is playing well and Pat White has got the offense going, and WVU takes care of the Bear Cats. |

From thegreek.com: Fresno St (+2) against Nevada Don't know much about this game but I'll still take the Bulldogs at home as the underdog. Purdue / Michigan St (Under 53.5) Potential bad weather conditions makes this a low scoring affair. Nebraska (-1.5) over Kansas The Cornhuskers, led by fellow Stagg HS alum, Joe Ganz, should cover at home against the Jayhawks. Penn St (-7.5) over Iowa The Nittany Lions have too much at stake to have a let down against the Hawkeyes. Jacksonville (-6.5) over Detroit The quarterback question mark in Detroit is worth a touchdown for the Jaguars. Minnesota (-1) over Green Bay I know Favre is gone, but the Packers just don't play well in the dome. Chicago / Tennessee (Under 38.5) Possible bad weather plus two suspect offenses going up against pretty good defenses. |

Oddsmaker or SBG Louisville +6.5 over Pitt Dog rules in Pitt games. Pitt coming off that 4OT win at ND. Louisville has covered the last 4 at Pitt. San Jose St -7 over La Tech SJSt as a HF has been a moneymaker. SJSt has covered 6 of last 7 vs La Tech. Wisconsin -10 over Indiana Wisconsin needs to win out to get to a bowl. Wisconsin has won last three in series by 17, 35 and 30. Ok St +3.5 over Tex Tech Ok St has covered every game. Gotta think Tex Tech a little flat after their win vs Texas. Vandy +24 over Florida Vandy coming off a bye. Florida has been on fire. Fla wins but Vandy covers. Flor St -4 over Clemson Home team has covered 10 of last 12. Fla St just playing better than Clemson this year. Mizzou -27 over K State Last home game for Mizzou. They could have 35 at the half. Rutgers -14 over Syracuse Syracuse upset Louisville last week. They should be a little down this week. Rutgers coming off a bye should get the cover. |
