***Bowl Games Everyday Except Sun. Jan. 4***

***NFL Playoff Games WILL NOT BE COUNTED***

This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. Post them all at once or in separate posts, but they must be posted in the current week's contest thread. Post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Minimum 50 picks to qualify by the end of the contest.

***Note: This is the final week of the contest and will be college only, Dec.30-Jan.8. The final game is the matchup of Big 12 Champ Oklahoma Sooners against the SEC Champ Florida Gators, who are around 3 point favorites. The total is 70+. Good Luck everybody!

Need a great week to overtake BR. From thegreek.com:

Boston College (-6) over Vanderbilt
It kills me to take this since the spread in today's paper had it at 3.5. Of the two, the Eagles are the "hotter" team.

Georgia Tech (-4) over LSU
The Yellow Jackets look to continue to run all over their opponents. The Tigers have been a disappoinment this year.

Kansas (-8) over Minnesota
Like Illinois last year, this year's surprise Big 10 team will falter in their bowl game. Not too mention the Gophers are on a four game losing streak.

Kansas / Minnesota (Over 59.5)
Neither team is great defensively.

Clemson (-2) over Nebraska
I don't believe the Cornhuskers can keep up with the Tigers.

USC (-9) over Penn State
USC is just too good.

There are still 3 college bowls to pick. Good luck!

Curious, then why do you have NFL listed in the thread title?

That's the name of the contest. Pick Winners CFB, NFL.

After the title is which week the thread represents. Last Week was Week 17 of the NFL, this week it is the BCS week.

Well I guess that will teach me to read the actual thread and not just assume based on the thread title.

I put the note in between the rules and the standings three weeks ago when the bowl schedule was announced.

Same thing happened last year. People posted picks for the NFL playoff games. No need to delete the posts, they just won't be counted.

The contest is the NFL regular season and college thru the BCS championship game.

Ohio State +8 vs Texas- Basically a pick to see the Big 10 do well.

Ohio State and Texas over 51.5- If Texas does win, they will put up points to show they still deserve a shot at the national title.

From thegreek.com:

Texas (-8) over Ohio State
I just don't have much faith in the Buckeyes in a BCS game. Pryor might become a great qb, but he's still just a freshman.

Texas / Ohio State (Over 51.5)
The Longhorns will be looking to prove a point while the Buckeyes should be able to score some points.
