http://equibase.com/rotw/drf.pdf Full field of twelve going postward for 9 furlongs over the poly at Keeneland. Some quick thoughts: 1) Hold Me Back - must have some ability if Mott is trying to get this one on the trail so late. Missed several months but has a couple of good races over Poly. Kent Desourmeaux comes in to ride. 2) Bittel Road - Probably will be the favorite but hasn't shown a ton of ability of the Poly. Maybe it was a tough winner in both cases. 3) AP Cardinal - 400K Baby looks like a dog 4) West Side Bernie - Return to poly might be right answer for this colt. Ran a solid BC Juvenile at SA and has won over the course. 5) Jack Spratt - Looks like a turf horse solely geared toward over night stakes - not G2 competition. 6) Parade Clown - Has had two tough trips in a row. Will he get stronger stepping up in class or step back? 7) Bruce N Autumn - Not much to point to here. Orthodox - Probably going to be a turf specialist but wouldn't be the first horse to have sucess Turf - Poly. 9) Loch Dubh - Didnt do much at Oaklawn but after good sprint win over Poly - taking one more shot. 10) Flying Private - 700K baby who's won 1 race in its lifetime (8 starts) 11) Dynamite Bob - 1 for 11. 12) Proceed Bee - Nice win in overnight stake last out. Big step up in class and outside post hurts. Personally, I think this race is garbage. I'd probably go after odds with the 4 and 8. Not betting it though. |

You're right. Lot's of names that haven't done anything. I'm hoping A.P. Cardinal or West Side Bernie wins so that a few people bet on them come Derby Time. I wouldn't bet this race. |

Should have known Mott wouldn't call Kent in for some dog. |
