Coast, CHUS, Don, IB, Mikerson, et al? Any thoughts on MLB win totals? My service really selling Oak and LAD short but at a high price, -130 and -150 respectively. In the past when these numbers came out it was one of the biggest wagering days of the year at the old Stardust? Coast? Truth to that? |

I don't bet on baseball, it affects the integrity of the game. |

I don't bet on baseball, and only very rarely do I bet season-long bets in any sport. |

There are still a lot of baseball guys in Vegas, but now they know what every book in town is hanging within minutes. Actually, back in the day, the Dust posted the first number on everything and the sharps were lined up five deep in line waiting to bet before the numbers even hit the board. I remember sitting in the Dust on a Sunday night in the 80s watching the first football numbers for the week get posted. Sharks aren't that hungry to feast. |

Late 80's and I was sent out to Tucson, guys already had a small ring set up at U of A that I bought into. Ran parlay cards and if we had $1000 in parlay bets the guy at the Dust took care of our plane flight on Sat afternoon, rooms, food and $100 in matching chips. Thus always had the love for the dust. Then in my 20's I figured out it was a shit hole and not so cool to hang at. lol Would watch the games in the dust and hear the stories. Might have met coast years ago and not known it. |
