This weekly wagering contest will reward the best football prognosticator with a $100 gift certificate from a meat/steak company. New guys can still join in any time and you don't have to make a pick every week. Post them all at once or in separate posts, but they must be posted in the current week's contest thread. Post your plays any time, but they must be posted before a game you are playing kicks off. You must make your picks in this thread and you must provide at least one reason for each pick. Iowa State +3 vs Kent State: Iowa State lost big last week, but 28 of Iowa's 35 were off turnovers. They won't make that many this week and beat a poor Kent State club. |

Tried to post these yesterday but couldn't. Akron -4 -Indiana is not going on the road and winning this game. Eastern Michigan +24 at Michigan -That is a huge spread for an obvious letdown game for Michigan. Iowa -5.5 vs Arizona -I think Iowa is the better team. I don't really have any great insight to post here. Hawkeye Vince still sucks. Michigan State +10 vs. Notre Dame -MSU is known for playing out of it's mind vs. Notre Dame. They keep it close at least. Northwestern -3 at Syracuse -Syracuse is not very good. Therefore, I don't see how Northwestern doesn't pull out a nice win. |

Can anyone verify the over/under on Tenn/Florida at 52? That seems really low to me, especially considering Florida is favored by 29.5. Did I get that wrong? |

Northwestern -3 vs Syracuse- Syracuse will probably upset somebody during the year, but not this weekend, Fitzgerald has Northwestern finish better than last week. North Carolina -7.5 vs East Carolina- North Carolina has the defense and should have worked on the offense this week and win this win at home. Florida -29.5 vs Tennesee- I think if Tennesee had a quarterback, they would keep it close, but they don't and Florida will run up the score if they get the chance. |

Covered last 4. Again. Baylor -10.5 over UConn Baylor is gonna do some damage this year. They hung with UConn last year. UConn not as good this year. Baylor better than last year. Arizona +4 over Iowa Iowa struggled here in their home opener against N Iowa. They blew out Iowa St last week, but Iowa St not that good. Arizona the better team. Bowling Green -3 over Marshall Road team rules when Bowling Green plays. They hung tough with Missouri last week and Marshall not in Missouri's class. BG gets this one. |

For Sunday Patriots -3.5 vs Jets- I think the Jets have talked too much this week and the Patriots will pour it on. Vikings -10 vs Lions- Vikings usually win, but by low amounts, I see this being diffrent as Peterson runs wild. Bills -4.5 vs Buccanneers- I think the Bills better win this one after the tough Monday loss, because if they don't, T.O. will really get on them. |
