This total is dropping fast. Opened at 51- and is now down to 48. Is there something I don't know? (Wait, don't answer that.) I was really liking the over tonight, but now I'm a little skittish. Any thoughts? |

Don't second guess yourself. If you liked the over before, take the extra three points and be happy (I'm not saying the over is the play to make, just don't second guess yourself). |

For thinly traded markets like college totals, when a line moves a few points, it is usually because someone from a betting group or one of 2-3 touts that move lines gave out the play. Most touts do not move numbers, but a few do. Most line moves are due to big players and syndicates. Hardly ever will a number move because someone is betting a game or the books move a number based on news you don't have. But one way to check is to do a news search of the hometown papers for the teams in the game. That five minutes of research will usually get you your answer. |
