Coast, are you getting these odds from Vegas books or offshore? Most of what I've seen has been less generous. IE: Tiger +450, Phil +900, Vijay +1200. |

These odds, and those I usually post, are the current odds at Pinnacle. pinnaclesports.com |

I think Tiger may be the best bet this week. I think he's more ready to play this tournament after the loss of his dad and coming off a strong performance in Chicago for the Western Open. |

Tiger may be the right call as the favorite, but he rarely gets what you might call good odds. Like the Yankees, the Colts, etc, books know that recreational bettors prefer these teams/players, and the odds are always shaded in the books' favor. Recreational bettors don't mind overpaying, and in most cases don't even realize they're overpaying, but guys that grind year-round recognize a hose job when they see one. Regarding pinnacle, Coast, love their low vig pricing and early lines (not to mention they allow you to sell points, though not as much to your advantage as you'd think), but they really seem to restrict your options. If you're a straight bettor, it doesn't matter much, but those of us that like to tease occasionally or use correlated parlays end up laying elsewhere. |

I understand Bucket. The reduced vig on all sports and very early lines (college lines posted on Sunday afternoon during football season), make Pinny an out that should be on everybody's list. I'm mostly a straight player so Pinny is my main out. But not my only one. I think every player ought to have at least three outs for their action. I think it makes sense for most players to have a book with consistently better spreads on underdogs (like bodog) and one with other kinds of advantages (free half points, better teaser prices, etc.) that best suit you. |

Absolutely correct, Coast. I use 3. Pinnacle for early lines and selling points to move to key numbers, Bodog for dogs and the occasional teaser, and Sportsbook for the rest because they'll take a bet on anything that isn't nailed down and rarely if ever do they restrict your action. |
