What a choice we have in this election. Two different views of government property ownership and involvement in the private sector. However, it appears these two candidates are somewhat schizophrenic about their party affiliations.
According to the D Blago, the state should build government properties at (high) government prices, then sell them to the private sector and lease them back. Some businesses do that with their own buildings, so that's quite Republican of him to cut government ownership of buildings and let those buildings be owned by the private sector.
According to the R Topinka, the state should not only own properties, it ought to own the businesses operating inside them too...including the number one business that is the target of the morals police in her own party. How very Democrat of her.
