I know of a guy who put down $250 on the Cards to win their division when they were still 5.5 out in August. I don't remember the odds, but he stood to win alot.

The same guy also threw down another $250 for the Cards to win the World Series with like 900-1 odds or something crazy like that.

The guys stands to win 2 or 3 hundred thousand or so if they do win it tonight.

(gonna try to get to know said guy a little more, right quick) :wink:

If he was smart, and I certainly hope he is, he'd be hedging that bat to assure himself a nice tidy win. Throw $100,000 on the Rangers to win tonight and he is ASSURED of $125,000 without having to care about who wins.

I'd take the sure 125 over the possible 225.
