You’ll never hear me endorse blindly employing a “fade the public” betting strategy, but it should be noted that Vegas almost always comes out ahead in Super Bowl betting. As an article on NorthJersey.com pointed out, Vegas casinos have lost money on the Super Bowl only twice since the Nevada Gaming Control Board began keeping records in 1992.
One of those times, ironically, was in 2008 when the Giants upset the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
