What about the Philbin effect, line will move a point or two? Probably be +7 or below by morning.

I love the Giants in Green Bay this weekend. I think they win outright.

It seems like the public loves the Giants. There's no way it gets below 7 but if it gets down to 7-7.5 I really think the value is with GB at that point.

I don't think it will even get to 7. The opening at 10 and closing at 7 would seem to set up too many middles for bet takers.

When it gets to 8.5, tons of people will be putting the Packers in teasers.

I thought I heard this morning it was at 8-8.5. What's the official line at now?

Packers are down to -8 (or below) at most books this morning.

Their OC's multiple rapist son took a drunken 3 am walk on a not frozen enough Fox River and drowned over the weekend.
Philbin, GB's OC for a few seasons now, was interviewing for the Dolphin's HC job over the weekend and is (or was) considered a candidate for other HC openings as well. Probably now he'll not be moving on, and it's likely the Packers already have/had a successor(internal) in the pipeline.

Tragically dead kid, a bit of front-office/locker room turmoil and a whiff of Sandusky about the whole situation
(the OC's son got a sweet deal to accept 4 misdemeanors for 2 rapes and only got 6 months and didn't have to register as sex offender)...
"WE ARE GREEN BAY"?

There is never an "official line", with vegas books, offshore books, and locals, but most places seem to be anywhere from 7-1/2 to 9.

Oh ok. I thought all the Vegas casinos pretty much used the same line and that was looked at as an official line.

Let the "is this or is this not a tragedy" debate begin anew.

Given that the average sentence for rape across the states is 10 years (+/- a year or two). Dude should've been still serving time, instead of getting drunk in Oshkosh and trying to jesus his way across the Fox River.

i like green bay minus 7.5
s.f. plus 4.5

not betting on pats/denver..but i like pats to win 37-17

not betting on this game either..balt covers the points easily in a romp..27-10

edit: mac likes the texans for his best play- i will be putting something on baltimore.. macneil=kiss of death

I think the Ravens are the play of the weekend. I don't see them running the ball on the Ravens like they did the Bengals and a rookie QB isn't going to win it for you on the road, as the Bengals found out.

Bengals had the Texans right where they wanted them before that JJ Watt pick six.

Yep. Basic strategy teaser in play -- (6 point T crossing two key numbers 7 and 3) GB -1.5, Balt -1.5
Also will pair with SF but waiting for + 4/10 to show. Currently not widely available

Liking the UNDER 47 in the opening game of the playoffs this weekend, Saints/49ers....49ers defense is for real and the Saints are outside of the dome. SF knows they need to force turnovers and slow the game down. I think they can do that today. Saints are about a .500 team in their last 12 or 13 outside of the division on the road, and rarely cover as well, but not sure I want to touch a side in this game.
