As most of you know the DUST is coming down and they are auctioning everything. Including the sign from the Book!

pizza_Place: Suparosa on Central between Irving and Montrose. Forget about the rest!!!
I was there in July for one last hurrah. Sad to see it go as it was my fav sportsbook. Nothing fancy, just had that certain feel about it. Plus they were super generous with the drink tix.

The $1 street craps games on the blue rug of the Dunes were just my speed as a poor college student. $1 Blackjack at the Holiday was a regular stop when the rest of Vegas was at $2. Had a great run one night at the old Aladdin. The Sands was a regular convention stop for several years early in my career. The Desert Inn had a great buffet and many a morning was spent perusing the morning lines. Those places are all gone, but not forgotten. But losing the Dust is a stab in the heart for a sports gambler. 30 years ago when I began going to Vegas, the Dust was THE race and sports book. To this day, the first football lines in Vegas have ALWAYS come out on Sunday night at the Dust. I have sat there many a Sunday night at 5 pm watching the sharps pound the preliminary numbers. Then, after the first hour of giving the "preferred clients" their chance at the soft numbers, the window opened to all. That's the Vegas tradition that I'm most sorry to see go...

The Vegas Implosions continue...
