I'd like the Cubs over as well if I didn't think they would fire sale in late July.

Looks like they have the Sox solidly in second. All we need is a nice Tigers injury.

Reds won 97 last year. Houston is out of the division but they have a better rotation and a better lineup than last year's.

I think the over is a good bet.

Paulie is 37, and coming off a down power year. We might be witnessing the beginning of the end.

Dodger Stadium plays longer at night, but it is not that hard to get one out during the day. It's easier for lefties than righties in SF, and SD is moving in the fences this year. AZ and CO are launching pads.

I will take my chances.

He was having yet another great power year last year until the wrist injury. He is jacking it out in spring training. I feel very comfortable marking him down in the 30s for HR.

Yeah, I dont know where they're getting 90

Some interesting totals there when you look comparatively. Dodgers 4 ahead of Giants? Yankees 10 games better than Orioles?

The Yankees are always a team with a high price tag, due to the size of their fanbase. For this reason alone, it's wise to bet against the Yankees, Cubs, Lakers, Notre Dame, etc.

Bet against the Astros on the run line every day this season and you will come back with a profit.

81 of their 107 losses last season, were by two or more runs. I might just do this.

Im looking for a way for the Astros to win 63 games.

They have a mishmash of former prospects: Ankiel, Ronny Cedeno, Humber, Bedard and some decent players Pena, Altuve

If they have one pitcher have a way better year than projected they could do it.

Astros depth chart: http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/teams/dept ... ton-astros

This is their projected rotation:

1. Bud Norris - Pretty solid, used to own the Cards, but won't see them anymore
2. Lucas Harrell - bad
3. Philip Humber - bad
4. Erik Bedard - Will be hurt by Mother's Day
5. Brad Peacock or Alex White - young, and completely unproven

Good luck with that against Texas, Oakland, Los Angeles, and the rest of the AL..

Post subject:  Re: MLB Futures

I agree.

Bud Norris would have to be unhittable and another pitcher would have to come out of nowhere.
