Ditka Dog Of The Week This week, Da Coach loves his Super Bowl pick from a week ago - the San Diego Chargers - to do the business in Denver. "Well, they just gotta play the kind of football that they're playing right now. I mean, you look at their defense and you wonder what the deal is. That defense has been porous and it's given up more leads over the last five years, blown more fourth-quarter leads than any team in football. That's gonna be their Achilles heel - it's gonna be the secondary. Will LT run wild against a staunch Denver defense this weekend? I mean, they gotta step up and play. When you got an offense that's operating the way they are, you got a quarterback like Philip Rivers, a running back like LaDainian Tomlinson and you got the receivers and you're able to execute - well, you gotta step up and carry your share of the load. They really haven't. That's gonna be the key to this football game - it's gonna be their defense. But then again, I don't know if [Jake] Plummer's gonna scare them. I really like San Diego in the football game as an underdog." |
