SCR is running ads for online fantasy football, for money. B&B explained on the air, and I think they are right, that it is legal because fantasy football is considered a skill game. Of course, we know poker is illegal, because allegedly, it is not. Seriously? Drinky concurred, saying poker comes down to the turn of a card. Dear Lord my head hurts. So there is no element of chance in fantasy football? Poker is every bit the skill game fantasy football is. It's about using knowledge and skill to put yourself in a position to come out ahead despite the element of chance. How can anyone possibly argue otherwise? It's wrong. Like Siri says in that commercial, "oh dear, I'm going. to need a-little help- here." How is this justified? |

Beardown is right. Drinky isn't so bright. |

I would contend that poker is more of a game of skill, than fantasy football. In fantasy football, if your players don't have the stats, you don't win. You don't need to have the best hand to win at poker. |

Both are frustrating because so much is out of your hands. I tired of poker because of the low entertainment value relative to the time commitment. FF is still fun because I watch the games anyway. Poker is only fun if you are with a group of friends or hit a hot streak in Vegas. Otherwise, I prefer the sports book, craps, carib stud or other table games. |
