OK, I need an expert opinion.

Illinois sucks. I get that. They'll probably give up 50+ points to OSU. But, a 33 point spread? That seems awfully large.

Illinois can score. I see no reason they can't put up 20-27 points. Wouldn't Illinois +33 be a pretty good play?

I'm an expert on being wrong about my team. If I think "Yeah, my team can totally cover that huge spread" they end up failing to do so in miserable fashion.

I think the only way to bet on your team is to bet against it. If you were like "Illinois will lose by 50" then it's a good bet.

No, I really hate this team and hate watching them. But, I do watch them.

Their defense is worse than awful.

But, I still think they could score enough points to cover 5 touchdowns. Guess not.

Usually, I would rather take that many points, but like you said, ILL isn't very good. OSU may also be looking for some style points, as they are going to need some help to get to the NC game. I think over is the best play.

If the O/U is 67, I'd definitely take the over. OSU could get that on their own.

I just think this thing will come down to a 48-24 type game where OSU goes up about 31-7 early, OSU shuts it down for the most part, and Illinois gets some cheap stuff late to get it closer.

I agree in that OSU is not one of these top teams that can cover any size line like Oregon did early in the season. IIRC, Meyer isn't a coach who has traditionally run up scores in the past even with national title chances in the balance.

I look at it like OSU would have to be up by 42 or more for that bet not to at least be at play at the end so that is a lot of wiggle room.

That's because he was playing an SEC schedule, so he didn't need style points. Run the table in the SEC, and you are in.

OSU has scored 119 points in their two games, including a pounding of Penn St. They are going to score this week.

I would agree with Nebraska, about a touchdown underdog at home.

Hope Duke is wrong, as a Canes fan, never want to lose to Duke.

A nice late night pick could be Oregon State, +14.5 can score and Arizona State has a big game next week against UCLA.
