There have been a couple of douchebaggings lately about tough losses against the spread. I think it would be more fun to compile them here where we can all laugh at your misery without having to put in the effort of a search.

Last week saw me with a few from weekday mid major games. These are the bane of existence anyway so you are kind of just willing to burn your cash when you make a play on them.

First, Ball State was getting 9 at NIU. Ball State lead or was close the entire night. 1:30 left in the game at the 15, up 7 and no more TO where NIU could have taken a knee and walked away. Instead they run for a TD. Wahhh! for me. I heard that on the ensuing play Ball threw a pick 6 that was actually out at the 1 but didn't get reviewed and sent the game over. Wahhh! for others.

I had Marshall -13.5 on Thursday. They jumped to a 21 point lead and were cruising. I think they were up 18 at half. FOUR fumbles and an int in the 3Q later and they are trailing ONLY to come back hard in the 4th and win by 12.

Let's try to keep this to current seasons.

Ouch! I can only imagine sitting there with that ticket while watching that play. That is foot through the TV time

Had Texans beating Oakland in Houston yesterday in my survivor pool. Still pissed about it. Originally picked Giants to beat GB but changed because there's no way a first time starter no one has ever heard of can win on the road, right?

Ten years ago, I probably would have thrown something against the wall, but these things go both ways. I got the over in the NIU game. It all evens out.

Losers like Mac and Nort constantly dwell on the bad losses, but forget about the bad wins.

I don't think anyone on the board had Northwestern but the fumble TD giving Ohio St the spread win was brutal.

I had a great beat in an NBA game a few years ago. Will post tomorrow, as I do not feel like typing it out on my phone.

The worst beats in hoops usually involve one of these two:

1) Somebody drains a meaningless half court shot.

2) Unnecessary fouls at the end of the game. 7 is a key number in basketball, because that is a three possession game. That is usually when they call off the dogs.

I didn't have a side but that has to be on the all time list.

Didn't that MNF game with the Seahawks a couple of years ago flip on a some bad call by the ref while time expired?

I would also say last night's picked up flag in the end zone was bad, but not even close to being one of those all time worst.

It's true. I balance things off this week with Vandy getting a passing TD in the last minute from about the 20 in a situation where they probably should have been running the ball.

Okay, here's my greatest beat, besides the first time I watched Pamela Anderson in V.I.P.. It was an NBA game probably three years ago. I had the over. Under a minute to go, and I need seven points. The deficit was around ten points, so they weren't fouling. One team hits a three. The other is fouled for whatever reason, with both free throws made. I now need two to push, three to win. I remember there were less than 24 seconds left, when the team in the lead had the (what I thought was going to be) final possession. The cameraman wasn't even focusing on the ball, when you hear a whistle and the announcers say "What was he thinking??" Apparently the ball handler just randomly handed the ball to the opposing coach. They cut to the coach laughing and holding the ball. As they're showing the replay, trying to piece together what happened, I hear the announcer say "And (whatever player) hits a three as time expires." Yeah, the three was meaningless, but it gave me my over. The key point being whoever gave the ball to the opposing coach (again, I've never seen anything like this) could have just dribbled out the clock.

Nothing could possibly ever top the Robin Ventura Grand Slam Single

Grand Slam puts it OVER

Mets mob him at first. Runs dont score. The UNDER pays out

I had the Packers last year against Seattle, when they were jobbed by the replacement refs.

I had Cincinnati for a nice chunk last night at 3.5. They were in a position to cover/win straight up pretty much the whole night. They went into the 4Q up 14-10. Then both teams decided to explode ending with UC having first and goal with a minute to play down three. Louisville decided to start playing defense at that point and held them to a FG that barely made it between the uprights to tie the game. I didn't even watch the OT as I knew the cornholing was going to happen.

I watched. Two weeks in a row GD's gotten fucked in college ball. Cincy had 1st and goal and Tuberville went "full retard" with his play-calling. Not to mention, the kicker barely hooked the 26 yarder inside the goal post to send the game to OT.
