Why do you want us to cheer against K Effective?

Man, there is all sorts of board rivalries coming out today that I never knew of.

I suspect K Effective is a grass-feeder when corn-feeding provides the best meat.

At various times today you could u have got ASU+2, which in case of our event you still would have won with the dog, but this is why I like to only use Scores and Odds LIVE ODDS.

Maybe it closed at 1.5? which in that case you would have lost.

Or maybe, you are chasing some bad wagers today and put a big sum on ASU +2.5! :D

That's where he purchased his Manometer, so it has sentimental value.

Your words said in anger are so hurtful. I believe in and practice a balanced rotation of grains and forages, and strive for a chemical-free, moderate rate of gain.

That said, I now recognize that I shall never truly belong here, and will now retreat to my own personal hell of rejection by an entire group of people with cute nicknames that I actually do not know.

I has a  .

I'll move my question here - sorry Biggie didn't see this thread until after I posted.

Can you keep the lines up when someone posts them? Some of these sites are blocked at work. I thought Chus post Mich St -15 over Delaware. That would be a push and underdog wins. Or did the odds on that site have something different?

I have absolutely zero interest in doing that.

I just put this thread for others updating for my convenience since bigfan told me last night he doesn't want posts in the main thread.

Dumpster fire is looking better if Lafayette can not go -5 in the last 0:32 and E. Kentucky tied with Kansas at the half.

Bill Kurtis would hate you but I'm a fan. I would happily eat your meat but I have a meat-provider of my own that I pay handsomely.

Joking aside - I recently paid $1.52/lb for 422 lbs. on a quarter. That yielded 257 lbs of meat processed at basically about $0.52/lb.

So, in total, I paid $780 on a quarter of a 1688 lb. live weight. Seem reasonable? I've been out of the game for a while.

What's the question? Corn-fed meat is better marbled and much more flavorful.

It's science.

Real close on prices- I charge on hanging weight, as does my butcher. This year I went up to $2.50 /lb hanging, he adds $40/head slaughter fee and $0.48/lb hanging for normal butchering (patties, corning, etc. extra). Assuming your 257lbs was the hanging weight, we would be at $776. I buy weaned heifers from a large feedlot over in Indiana and feed them out for about 10-11 months, so my live weights are much smaller than yours- my largest animal yielded hanging halves of 358/355 this year, so she was only 1100-1200 pounds. My smallest halves were 240/240, from about an 800 pounder- practically veal. It is just logistically easier for me to process all at once. I like to think the younger animals provide more tender meat, and I refuse to force them to grow faster by any other means than self-produced grains and forages, fed at nearly unlimited quantities.
