Coast, IIRC your strenght is in college basketball. I think there are a few other hoops players as well. Anyone interested in throwing out some daily plays as we approach the sportsworlds dead spot in February?

I'll throw out:

Louisville -3.5 against UConn
Oklahoma +5.5 at Oklahoma State

Monday: I like the under 133 in the Oklahoma-OSU game tonight. However, I've been avoiding unders on games with short spreads because there is a higher % of these games having foul fests this season. Thus, I like it, but am not playing it. However, I am playing OU-OSU UNDER 62, first half. I know such bets aren't widely available, especially with locals, so I don't usually post them.

What a miraculous cover. I had Atlanta +9-1/2. Bulls are up 11. Sefolosha misses two free throws. Medvedenko hits an open 3. Bulls by 8.

I don't know if any of you watched the game. The line was down to five and it was indeed, 5 with a couple of seconds left. OK missed a three, and there was a put back shot that I swear was shot well before time expired. They did not count it and no one really bothered to fight the call. I swear it was good.

One strange thing was the OKST coach signaling a no good sign to the refs. I wonder why he would care seeing that his team was up by 5 and time had expired either way.

I saw the game. Damn right it was before the buzzer. You aren't the only one questioning this. Everybody who had OU at 5 is questioning it.

I love the Clippers laying 6 to the Nets tonight.

South Alabama-UL Monroe UNDER 135-1/2. Under 63-1/2 first half even better. USA is the better team, but has THREE guards out tonight, including two leading scorers. Backcourt crippled at home is going to mean this team is going to struggle on the offensive end....especially early. ULM likes to play a bit on the fast side, but USA is likely going to slow this down to a crawl. On the road, I wouldn't expect ULM to shoot very well...and you can expect the USA kids will be all out on the defensive end to make up for their shorts.

We'll I took the Bulls straight up, basically I wanted to see the Bulls beat the Mavericks, after the comments made by Salisbury. I felt like MJH was with the Bulls and Salisbury with the Mavs. Bulls up 11 with 46 seconds to go and shooting free throws.

Chus I hope your wrong, I have the Nets, could be a bad pick without Jefferson. I thought the Clippers would be better, but haven't gotten it going it lately, but well see what happens.

Saturday: Purdue -2-1/2 vs. Illinois
Don't let the home win over Indiana lead you into thinking this Illini team is any good. They're not. Purdue can't win on the road, but they are pretty good at it at home. I expect Landry to have a big day and for the Illini to lay their usual bricks on the road.

I am all over this one, too. Illinois is bad on the road and 4-13 ATS for the season.

Nice Pick on Purdue- I actually thought Illinois would pay well.

Orlando -4-1/2
Atlanta has played 4 games in the last 6 nights including an upset in Orlando on Friday night. The Magic are rested, having 4 of the last 5 nights off, and should be ready for revenge and pound the Hawks.

Bradley -1 against Creighton

A tough MVC battle. Bradley has only lost 1 at home this year. Creighton may be the best team in the conference but it is difficult to win on the road.

I agree with you on Bradley, Dolphin, but I can't find any 1s. Opened at 1.5 and quickly moved to 2 most places. I bought them last night at -2.

My 1 is from the paper.

Doesn't that Purdue-OSU line strike you as screaming to take OSU, which means you should take Purdue.

Indiana-Wisconsin is also interesting. It's a tought road game against a good team but I have become a true believer in the Badgers.

I'm not sure if Oden is playing tonight. He is at a funeral for his best friend today and they said that if he does make it to the game, he might be a bit out of it. That might have some bearing on the line. I don't lay points on the road, generally, so for me it's Purdue or nothing anyway.

Indiana-wisky is the kind of game that will tell me a lot about the Hoosiers. Their D will make it difficult for the Badgers. I too am a true believer in Wisky, but I think this one could go to the final possession. Just don't see a discernible edge either way.

well..i'm not having a banner year this season as i'm exactly .500 right now...so i'm just one coin-flipping voice. I may have other games myself, but it won't be one of those two. If you feel it, do it.

Seattle +2.5

Da Bull are brutal on the road, and Wallace is out, how is this team laying 2-1/2 ?

Been on a little roll lately, but it's tough these days to post timely plays. Wll do it when I can.

Thursday, 2-8

DePaul-Notre Dame OVER 141
Demons might not match ND's pace, but this one should be decently uptempo.

Oregon State + 12-1/2 vs. Zona
Fading Zona on the road with its bad defense. OSU has beaten Cats 2 of last 3 in Corvallis. OSU coming off horrible road trip and worst game of the year. That adds a few points to this overlay.

Stanford-Wazu UNDER 123
Wazu's pace and defense should make this a grinder. Cardinal will likely grind with their post game.

Good stuff, coast. Shoulda had 3 for 3, but they forgot how to shoot in the ND/Depaul game.

I'll be far, far away by the time this one is lined up tonight and likely won't be in a place with internet coverage to post for awhile. I leave you with one for Saturday...

Indiana -8? vs. Illinois
This line likely will be in the -8 range, but could go as high as 10. Lay em. Illinois beat IU in the "gordon game" a few weeks ago, but now it's payback time. One of the most predictable things in college hoops this season has been to fade the Illini on the road against a good team. IU has had a week to prepare for this one. IU by double digits.

Santa Clara +6-1/2
With Gonzaga's suspensions, I don't think they will be able to handle the big men for Santa Clara. SC is a sound team that likes to play at a very slow pace. First place in on the line, and there is the revenge factor here. Leaning towards the under ( 135.5 ) as well.

UNC/Va Tech over 148
Tech can score 70 any night, and NC will run anyone out of the gym, capable of putting up 100 anytime.

Pennsylvania -12-1/2
Clearly the class of the Ivy league, Penn can outrun anyone in the conference. Princeton has problems scoring, especially on the road. I don't see anyway they break 50, while Penn should have no problem dropping 70. I LOOOOOOOVE the Quakers.
