Uh oh, now you are messing with the holy grail of alleged amateur sports. NCAA Football! Yes, you can play NCAA Fantasy This weekend for cash. I think this was a marketing mistake, because now the politicians are going to come after the DK guys ' To Save the kids!" |

Gaming Commission looking for legal authority to shut it down.. Still amazing. These games are legal because of the idiots amending gambling bills in the first place. These guys go with what the morons decided and now the Govt wants to shut it down. What a damn mess. The problem for DK and others is, none of them can say they create jobs, taxes, etc....they have no political clout....they are fucked. |

As much as I prefer college cootball over the NFL, I have no interst in playing college fantasy football. I did it once about 10 years ago. Just way too many teams and players to follow. |

So are we going to see the complete demise of the FanDuel-Draft Kings model as it is today? I guess if it were "regulated" or whatnot it would be abandoned. That was quick! |

Chus wrote: Just think of the ad revenue that the Score will lose. yeah, i almost wonder if that's one of their strategies to try to hold on to as much legality as possible..... if they're a top-5 advertiser overall for just about every major sporting event in america, maybe they figure that $$$ getting pumped to all of the media companies will get them in DK/FD's corner and more prone to talk to their lobbyists/people in order to pull some favors and keep the gravy train chugging along. i mean at this point the advertising ubiquity can't just be there to rope in every last dope who hasn't nicked a promo code and taken their chance to get a LIFE-CHANGING-PAYDAY(TM) --- i think it's gotta be an attempt to be as intertwined with big media as possible. |

Sini, welcome to the world KID. thats not how it works. You better be in the corner and the checks better be cashed and disbursed, way before the issues start if you want help from the "elected officials" In the defense of the DFS's, its because these fucking morons who make the laws in the first place that these guys were allowed to do what they do. The purpose of this BS game of skill crap was to allow a mega company such as Budweiser or pepsi to sponsor a Fantasy league and gvie away $100K, for example. So, all these guys took what the idiots did and ran with it....now they are going to need to go back and rewrite the law again...so the NBA, the NFL, etc will be able to have such leagues and give away prizes, but stop sch companies that operate with the sole intent of gambling. |
