Is it going to be Greenpointcrusader? Otherwise, who do you like?

I like Greenpointcrusader. I hope chasing Moyhamen didn't break his heart. He was wide in that race and spotting the big guy a couple pounds. Still, Mohaymen pulled away very easily. I'm not sure Gun Runner wants to run a real route. Mo Tom is his own worst enemy. Forevamo has a chance in there.

Love Mo Tom after he was hip checked in deep stretch

Yeah, he can easily win this race. That isn't the kind of horse I like to bet, especially at the price he will be. He's got to come from way back and he's subject to the pace. Greenpointcrusader is going to be close to the front. It won't be easy for Mo Tom to blow by him.

What do you think about Dazzling Gem in here?

This looks like Mo Tom's race to win. Gun Runner doesn't have the distance in him, but could be leading around the far turn.

Along with Greenpointcrusader, Zappernini, Dazzling Gem are being mentioned as contenders by the handicappers. Battery and ConquestWindyCity are wildcards from strong stables, Pletcher and Casse.

JORR, which of the above horses are most bred for distance? Any place to get info on that?

I'm taking a long look at Battery. Pletcher knows how to send one off a layoff. And that last race back in February was a monster.

Yep JORR, he may try to pull a Danza from 2014. Plus he has Castellano riding for him, which is pretty much his #1 jock. Horse will get bet down from 10-1.

Thanks for the program sheet spmack.

I like Mo Tom, Greenpointcrusader and Candy My Boy in this race.

Battery seems like a one hit wonder to me, but I like his late pace speed figure in his last race.

Since I read your sheet I guess I have to make a small investment.

3-4-11 boxed exacta.

Candy My Boy is getting the best price, IMO, at 15-1. His last speed figure was just under that of Mo Tom, who's getting 5/2.

Spmack's program shows the last race was an anomaly for C.M.B. with him fading at the end. He set too fast a pace for himself. Before that, finishing has been his strength.

But with your, Battery, JORR, you might have the best jockey with Castellano. Correct me if I'm wrong. And you got a good trainer.

JORR, you got me convinced. I put Battery in my top three.

The horse looks like a beast at the 1 1/8 distance, like he's not even trying.

Kicked 4, replaced him with 2.

Mo Tom change jockeys and he's my Derby pick

Again, I had the winner, Gunrunner, in my exacta and trifectas, but couldn't come up with the horse in second.

I had Battery, Greenpointcrusader and Forevamo in the box. Forevamo came wide down the stretch when he was running 3rd, but then got bumped.

Very disappointing for Greenpointcrusader. Does nothing after a G 1 win, when he showed late speed? I am wondering if he scratched, because I didn't hear his name called once.

Yeah, I thought GPC would be much closer to the pace than he was. And Forevamo was more forwardly placed than I thought he would be. I'm not a fan of Mo Tom. He's that horse that has a bad trip every time and you keep thinking if he gets a clean trip he'll crush the next field, but he always gets in trouble and then eventually the form that made you notice him is gone. I was off base with thoughts of any distance limitations for Gun Runner. I still think Creator is the better horse, but Gun Runner has a great running style for the Derby.
