I see that a guy I played junior golf with in Wisconsin ( Ryan Helminen ) as a yout is making his 3rd PGA start as a PGA club professional. Extremely early of course but -1
thru 5 holes. Should be an interesting tournament. This tournament seems to lend itself more than others to having an underdog come out and play well and possibly win.
I'm rooting hard for Stricker this week as he played well at the British and I think his window is closing very soon. Would be a great story.

I haven't seen any coverage yet and I have a pretty busy weekend. Hoping to check it out after work today for a bit. I really hope that the
winners don't go any lower than -10 this year. Haven't really seen the course yet but seems like it is playing pretty difficult based on the
scoring of a majority of the field. Fair but difficult.

My guy is still hanging in there. He finished at +2 and cut looking like around +1 early this morning. I would guess we will see some lower
scores today since it rained there a bit and the course softened some. Probably looking at even par cut line.

I only got to see the last 4 holes but it was pretty exciting and happy for Walker. Nice to see some new blood join the Major winner ranks this year.
