nice job delaney, that's really good progress after something as serious as ACL reconstruction. Good luck to you building up and going after that next marathon.

I went out to Naperville Running Comapny this weekend and bought some new Hokas, one pair for myself and another for my daughter. I got the Clifton 6's, and took them for an uptempo (for me anyway) 10-miler last night and DAMN those things are cushy, with a nice responsive snap to them as well. I didn't realize how flat my current pair was until i started running in those.

I'm 100% sold on the Hokka's....I'm on my second pair. There's no other cushion out there like it. I'm not skinny...so, I need the cushion

Broke out the Adidas Supernova Geofits on Sunday.

yeah i'm not exactly light on my feet either. I'm on my 4th pair of Cliftons. I tired on another model but it just didn't seem quite right, the Clifton is a great every day trainer.

Sunday was a glorious day to run, nice and cool and breezy with some sunshine, it just felt great.

I only use Hokka’s now. Tons of improvement in foot, knee and back soreness.

Just bought a pair Clifton 6. They felt perfect when I tried them on. Can’t wait to run in them.

Has anyone been running or training for anything through this whole corona ordeal? All of my spring races were canceled up until my next scheduled race on June 20th, and I found out last night that it is officially a go. After a hard spring, this is a ray of sunshine that I am really looking forward to. A little piece of normalcy.

I've only been out about once a week....which is sad and pathetic on my part. My wife and I do go out and walk the dogs every day, but there's no reason I shouldn't be running 5 days a week by now.

Unfortunately I have not run since valentines day. Somewhere along the line I tore my Achilles tendon and had surgery March 19, right in the midst of the shutdown. The last 10 weeks has been interesting to say the least. I have a telemed visit today so hopefully I can get a 'return to running' ETA.

logged 4 miles on Saturday and a much slower 4 miles Sunday. 2 days in a row....painful.

I ran during the shutdowns. Has anyone plateaued? I ran like I never ran before to start the year: 110 in Jan then 135 for Feb, March, and April each. Took May off a little but want to get back to 130+ this month. I hardly feel any change though. What am I doing wrong? I watch my portions and don't eat junk food outside of chips and salsa.

Two weeks ago I either sprained a ligament in my knee or tore my meniscus after doing a double workout, consisting of a 3 mi. jog in the morning followed by 3 mi. bike ride in the evening. I was fine afterward, but woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't walk. Had serious pain for 1 1/2 weeks, but the knee is finally getting better. Anyway, the culprit was shitty Asics running shoes. Never again. Yeah, they're light because they're cheap, but have zero support with their terrible foam soles.

I bought a pair of NB 990 running shoes as a replacement. Got them in the mail today and what a difference! Awesome shoe, which I would highly recommend. And made in the U.S.A.!
