The guys who want to make money should be able to go play and make money. The guys who decide to stick with the PGA Tour are just as right to do so IMO. If the PGA decides to ban guys, that's their choice.

Let the LIV guys play in majors or on sponsors exemptions. It will be innneresting to see what happens with the Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup, and Olympic qualifying.

I thought the beauty of the pro golfer thing was that they were to be pure self employed golfers to come and go, win or not. Now because some want to go on a side gig the PGA is butt hurt. Yet the Europeans play on their other tour all year long back and forth.

Dechambeau and Reed now in, but won't play this weekend. Sounds like Fowler will be following suit shortly too.
Those that have exemptions in the Majors should be good, but if they don't get world ranking points involved in these events quickly, none of these guys will be playing in the Majors.

The release from the PGA Tour this morning says no exemptions allowed.

The Tour can’t do all that much to keep guys out of the majors.

The insecure PGA tour running scared, I love it. They have nothing to do with the 5 most important events in golf, have run roughshod over other tours around the world and keep trying to shove the Players Championship, the FedEx Cup and President's Cup down our throats as meaningful. Now, an 8 event tour has them quaking in their boots. Hilarious. Let them reap what they've been sowing the past couple of decades.

I heard this morning that several events on that tour will be right here in the U.S.. If true, it's odd how the PGA'S ire isn't focused on those venues but rather the independent contractors.

One of them is scheduled to be played in September at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove.

Can't wait for that one. It's a really good golf course.

Does the tour have dedicated t.v. partners yet?

LIV is only on You tube and Facebook I believe.

I guess we will find out about the Independent contractors part.

LIV officials throwing out reporters they don't want in press conferences, nice.

Well it's an improvement on how they've treated other reporters

You could tell it wasn't a CB post because it wasn't just a gif of the Hinsdale Oasis.

Also, this isn't a White Sox or Brewers/Yelich thread.

Caught the last 4 holes of the Canadian Open and it was a real treat. All three guys at the top of the leaderboard in the last group. Quite a bit of drama and it went down to the last hole.

Koepka is disappointing but not shocking. He is not good enough to win on the PGA Tour lately. Morikawa would be a big surprise to me because he has a chance to win quite a few majors over the next 15 years. I think in the end money really talks and legacy is not enough to keep these guys hanging around. If they only have to play 10 events a year and make so much more money than they would even if they were winning a bunch of tournaments on the PGA Tour, I can't say I necessarily blame them for that. A lot of people have been critical of the 54 hole format and no cut, with everyone getting paid. I think it takes a little bit of the competitiveness out of it.

I'm guessing some of you have seen this by now but pretty devastating injury, maybe worse that I even expected to see with all the surgeries and reconstruction. Shows you how much he really has to push to play these tournaments and how much it must hurt.

Faldo is “retiring” from CBS in August; Trevor Immelmann is taking over that spot.

Hmmm…

That would be a huge blow to The PGA Tour. The rest of the defectors are either way past their prime, or just not that popular. Morikawa is young and has years to go before he’s even in his prime.

Has anyone that’s been suspended by the PGA threatened or actually filed a lawsuit yet?

I think they’d have a standing issue.
