I've been really struggling this year so far, my average is at 196 right now after a managed a 615 last night. i just haven't been able to string them together like i did last season, even though my spare shooting has been ok. its hard to maintain over a 200 when you struggle to get more than 2 stokes in a row, even if you stay relatively clean. i think my sync is tracked out pretty bad, it needs to be resurfaced. it just doesn't have that atom bomb carry it had for that first season and a half and i am leaving loads of 7-pins (lefty here) because it is hitting like a fucking pillow fight.

finally put it together last night and had good week after a couple weeks of being in the high 500's. 215-246-244 - 705. this ought to finally get my average moving in the right direction, though I'm still likely below 200. threw an air ball going for a 4-7 in the last frame of the night, thought i blew the 700 for a moment but luckily i squeaked it out. my first 700 in 18 years (i had quit bowling for a while while my kids were young, and just restarted 3 years or so ago).

Only one open frame, a 3-10 split in the tenth frame of game two. Tonight was very frustrating. I should have shot 750. We took 23 out of 30, and I got all of my three points, so it's all good.

after several solid weeks in a row (632, 705, 645) where my average had finally climbed back up over 200, i shit myself last night and threw a 530. in game 2 i had 4 big splits on my way to a 154, and i missed several 7-pins and generally bowled like shit all night. we won all the games somehow, but i was glad to get out of there.

237-209-217--663 tonight. I covered 8 of 8 ten pins tonight. Another frustrating night, despite the scores. 2nd straight week that I have had the highest series out of ten bowlers.

1600 over my last 7 games. My average is up to 205.33, and given the tough conditions, I am pretty happy.

I bowled six last Friday and five again last night. Hoffman Estates' bowling alley has a $15 (weekends) and $11 (weekdays) for all-you-can-bowl (including shoes) for two hours. Last night, I couldn't make a spare to save my life. I would string together 3-4 strikes, followed by a couple opens. Need to fix the thumb hole on the ball I got. It's too big, so I have a blood blister on my thumb that made it tough to throw consistently.

another lousy night for me, the holidays couldn't come quick enough. i need the two weeks off. 560-something, i was all over the place. i actually made all but a couple of my spares but i couldn't string together any strikes and was getting pissed by the end of the night. hanging in at 198 but i need to get it going pretty soon.

Hadn't bowled in a year and a half and it showed the first couple of games, but I rallied in the third for a respectable number. 114, 139, 178.

24 strikes. 4 open frames, 3 splits and a missed 10 pin. 9.51 average on my first ball.

Third straight week that I have shot the best score out of ten guys on the pair of lanes. 2693 pins over my last 12 games (224.41 avg).

207.29 average over 45 games.

I won all three of my points tonight, and we start the second half in first place. Life is good. I'm celebrating with a Zombie Dust. Hi redskingreg!

my average is in complete free-fall. mentally i am a mess right now on the lanes, i am defeated before we even start keeping score. i haven't bowled this poorly in years. something happened missing a couple weeks around the holidays because whatever mojo i had is gone. I'm going to go over to the lanes tomorrow by myself and try to work some shit out because this season has a long way to go!

I went through that last year. It will turn around.

Tight oil pattern tonight. Not quite tournament shot, but close.

First game, I left four ten pins, and missed three of them, including the 9th and 10th frame, but hit six strikes. Every ball was right in the pocket. This game was extremely frustrating. Our team lost by 170 pins.

Second game, I had 9 strikes, and covered a 5-7 split. I still lost my point, because my opponent shot 261 with handicap. My 9 handicap made it 257. We shot 1216 scratch, to set the high water mark in the league so far this year. We won by 158 pins, and took 8 of 9 points.

Third game, the lanes were breaking down, which is where the men are separated from the boys. The shot was really tight at this point, but I buried enough strikes, and covered my spares. We took all 9 points, and series. 20 out of 30 tonight. We have moved into second place, with position round next week. My average is up to 210.01

That is some nice shooting. I am going bowling for the first time in at least two years later tonite. If I manage a 450-500 series it will be a small miracle.

Averaging 197 on Tuesdays and 203 on Thursdays...shot since the first of the year on Thursday has been very hit or miss...last night was possibly the worst house shot I've seen in years...it's like they've oiled long and heavy on our end...very frustrating.

161, 148, then the beer really kicked in with a 126. Very rusty, but found my groove for about 8-10 frames from the middle of the first game to the middle of the second. Trying to talk the wife into maybe doing a summer league. They have one at a local house for $20 a week, but you get a new ball at the end of it. Seems like a pretty good deal. We'll see what happens.

nice shooting boyd, 30 clean is a great accomplishment! i know I've never done it.

the sync is a great ball, best ive ever owned. i haven't seen the crux out on the lanes yet, must be a pretty good ball to blow away the sync.

I've been slowly pulling out of my mid-season funk, i at least am touch the 600's again. not sure what was going on there for a while but i was bowling like complete shit and watching the average free-fall. i had to miss a couple weeks but ill be back tomorrow and i really want a nice mid-to-high 600 to get the juices flowing again. bowling like shit kinda sucks.
