Course is beating guys up. If Conners can post -10 or -11, that could be something.

I know it's limited attendance, but it's really nice seeing the galleries back and hearing some roars.

I just read that the tree island is part of the penalty area, so he could have used a boat to go out there and play it from the hazard, or used the drop zone.

Match Play started today and I see Rory has already had his ass whooped 6 and 5, he is struggling and just fired his long time swing coach.

vs Poulter. That guy is just an animal when it comes to match play. Rory didn't play remarkably well or awful (-2), but Poulter finished birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie. Just tip the ol' cap at that point.

This won't move the meters at all with the Masters folks. They would never move it anywhere else. I know that Augusta National has been well behind the curve but they have made a lot of progress in the right direction the last 15 years with membership, inclusion into the tournament for amateurs and also the women's event.

Nice for Spieth. This might be a dumb question but why was there a threesome to end today rather than two?

I noticed that. Sometimes they do that if they are trying to beat some bad weather but I didn’t notice any ominous clouds or anything

They also had guys going off of #10 and #1. Was the field that large or something? Or were they just hoping to finish a little early to give guys a jump start at making the trek over to Augusta?

They also didn't finish until late on Saturday due to a weather delay, not sure if Saturday there may have been more weather that delayed preparing the course for Sunday.

On the eve of the Masters, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has released the cause of the February wreck where Tiger Woods suffered extensive injury: excessive speed of 82-87 mph in a 45-mph zone.

Early in the morning of Feb. 24, Woods was driving in the Rancho Palos Verdes area of Los Angeles, en route to a golf course where he was filming a segment for a television show, when his SUV left the road and flipped before coming to rest on its side.

In a news conference Wednesday, law enforcement said that data recordings from the car show that Woods did not brake prior to the accident but did press on the accelerator at a "99 percent" rate. Lomita Captain James Powers said investigators believe Woods accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. The final estimated speed when Woods' vehicle struck a tree was 75 mph.

Putting on the brakes always was his Achilles heel .

Haven’t been watching much of the tournament this week but I enjoy Quail Hollow. Pretty decent leaderboard and hoping if things tighten up on the back nine maybe I’ll watch some. I’d like to see McIlroy finally get back into the winners circle.
