I dunno. Augusta Nat'l has always given zero fucks. They are going to do what they want.

$385 for Monday. I should stop checking because its getting hard to resist booking something.

Doubtful.

I'm sure if you buy it on Stubhub, ebay, or whatever reputable secondary site, you would get a refund if the event was cancelled. Sure, if you bought it on the street or something like craigslist you would be screwed.

I assumed reputable sites don't sell the tickets because you aren't supposed to resell them

Seems like it would be a bit of a gamble. My guess is if they play this year it will be with no spectators

The Masters PPD

Not sure why they would call it now when the tournament doesn't begin for another 24 days?

It’s the politically correct thing to do. It isn’t cancelled so that’s good.

Yeah but doesn't that course get beat to shit with the weather shortly after the Masters is done? Hopefully they can do it in early May.

When they reschedule, I'm still going to be checking prices and whatnot. I'll brave awful humidity and high temps with a slight risk of Corona to get those grounds again.

I saw something talking about September, right after the Tour Championship.

Tour Championship, The Masters, and The Ryder Cup all in like a 5 week stretch? That seems a bit agressive. I guess we'll see though.

If there is one event that definitely won't get cancelled and just rescheduled, its The Masters.

There is no other time to have it, unless they totally change the tour schedule and that is not going to happen.

There may be no other choice.

Other sports are going to lose games. I can't see the NBA and NHL finishing all regular season games, then going all games of the playoffs. They are going to have to cut some games, or go to a best of 5 for at least one playoff round. MLB is likely headed for about a 140 game season as well.

They won't change the schedule because of obligations to corporate sponsors, it will just be a year without the Masters if they can't find a time to slot it in.

They will get rid of two other tournaments before they get rid of The Masters. They have already cancelled three sponsored tournys.

The Masters isn’t associated with the PGA Tour so they can do whatever they want. If they want to piss off another tournament and run it the same week they very well could. I don’t see them doing it but they could. There is almost a month between the end of the PGA tour playoffs and the Ryder Cup

2018 par 3 on at 12:30 and 1986 final round after that. I’ll probably tune in for a bit.

That is too cool, but the Titleist script would be a deal breaker.

Out of curiosity, what kind of ball do you use?

Chrome Soft or TaylorMade Project (a), since they tend to launch a bit higher for me. I started to launch the ball higher the last few seasons (steeper angle of attack), so the ProV1 would probably suit me now, but I can't justify the price.

I kid about the Titleist script. I would find any product placement off-putting on that helmet. It's so badass otherwise.

I wish I was good enough at golf for it to matter which ball I use. I have a full milk crate of used balls in my garage that I have accumulated over the years. I just grab and go.

But it is nice knowing I will never have to purchase a golf ball again.

I believe it's important to play the same type of ball during a round, so you can develop feel around and on the green, no matter your skill level. A urethane ball will check up more and generally roll out less than a non-urethane covered ball. Hard to develop consistency and touch if you switch back and forth.

If you only play a couple times a year or routinely launch balls out of play over the course of a round, then that is a different story.

I was going to dig through some of my Masters gear and probably sell some of it. Sleeves of balls with the Masters logo, I have a really cool ball repair tool with ball marks. Not sure what else. PM if you are interested at all. I can send pics and we can haggle.

And if you had tickets for this year, you either can use them next year or get a refund. So the lottery won't be worth a damn either. :(
