we don't have much in the way of rabbits. its mostly raccoons. they are ridiculous and quite frankly the fence we do have will likely do very little.

The farmer up the road does 2 rows about 400 yds long of sweet corn as he plants the rest of his feedcorn rows so i don't have to mess with that.

Pretty sure I can feed the family if I took up rabbit hunting.

our set up. our neighbors all have gardens and don't fence it but since this photo we've put up a 4' fence.

tomatoes, all sorts of peppers, okra, zucchini, squash, onions, carrots, broccoli i think are the mainstays.

Looks good.
Is this your front yard or a community garden?

the side yard. the back yard is mostly sloped and being groomed for something else potentially.

up the road they have a tone of pine trees and they are all over. i'm certain they exist around here but the only ones we see are the ones the cats have killed. but i don't have much cover in the yard so there isn't much place for them to hide.

What do you use to keep the bugs/vermin away?

The squirrels/chipmunks leave the cherry and grape tomatoes alone but destroyed my "standard" size tomatoes

You either get yourself a dog or you can go ahead and get some squirrel traps. If youre the Godless liberal type you can go ahead and relocate any critters you catch. (Release them in Winston County, that's what I say.) Oncet you get the whole family, you got yourself a good two months squirrel free. God Bless.

Back again, folks. If you want an expert to diagnose your soil, plant or crop issues, you ought mosey on over to the Dirt Doctor. He has podcasts at this internet web address: https://www.dirtdoctor.com/garden/Radio ... q13851.htm. You will need to be connected to the internet to be able to listen to these podcasts.

The Dirt Doctor is very informative. Now he talks a bit slow and has a bit of an accent, but I expect thats because he's from Texas. Heh! Wrote over ten books, is a former Marine and a college boy too. He also fixed up Auburn's baseball field. Go Tigers! I like to say that listening to his show is like an afternoon at the feed store. God Bless.

Anyone have a good way to get rid of mushrooms in your yard?
