Those have been old news my friend. Coincided with first my use of “foe” then a certain voluntary leaving the board. Kinda funny actually.

Just trying to have a little fun, foe function is your friend.

I know. Sort of like old days around here. Wish some gone did not leave. Back to golf...

I'm watching it at work through the masters website. Where are the announcers??? Just birds chirping and mumbled player/caddie conversations that you can't really understand.

I am streaming it and am watching the featured groups, listening to this announcer, I wish I was listening to the birds.

This is truly weird watching the Masters being played in November and no fans there. I didn't think I would think anything of it, but it is strange indeed.

Bryson has played 3 and a half holes and has hit 2 provisionals already, the 2nd one just went in the water.

Rahm, is already 2 over.

He and Bryson may explode out there today.

Bryson ended up with an unreal par on 11 after a horrible drive that somehow ended up playable. 13 looking really messed up.

He is fun to see. It has been proven many times though the biggest strongest hitter is not the best golfer.

There will be some really low scores today. Greens are so soft, it's like throwing darts.

NO wind, which is the bigger thing. The only thing is some guys are going to get mud balls (that was for Douchebag) and who knows where they end up.

If one of the "old" Englishmen- Casey or Westwood- can pull this off, it would really be something.

I really like Casey. It would be cool to see him win.

Westwood is a lousy putter. I can never root for someone that has a weak putting game.

Or a fucking broomstick for a putter.

Just wait til Sunday. That’s when it will really feel odd...especially if you know who is even within striking distance

It is odd without the patrons, but some of the views are spectacular without them there.

I especially like the overhead shots ESPN was doing. I suspect they are using a drone?

I was thinking that the video on the whole has never looked better.

Awesome leaderboard.

Roger Twibell was the announcer online. That guy is just solid. Been around forever. I remember him in the early days of ESPN.

I didn’t even know he was still alive.

I'm excited to see what JT does with his 2nd 9 tomorrow morning. He could easily be the leader after 1.

I agree - I'm liking the scenery without all the fans. You can see the landscape even more.
What was kinda strange - did anyone else notice how worn out the crossing "paths" were on the course? There is barely anyone there, yet there are 8 foot wide brown paths across many fairways. Do they just never grow back in?

It's a little dwarf that lives under the clubhouse. He flies a little mini Masters blimp.

The shots have been cool. What people that haven't been there before don't realize is how much open space there is in the middle of the course and I think they have shown some of that. Many of the holes are just individual chutes up through the trees.

Very interested to see how quickly the SubAir system can suck the moisture out of the greens. These guys are throwing darts

Its Augusta. Nothing would surprise me, T-Bone.

Rory falling apart. Scott was a horribly unlucky break at 15. Bernhard hanging around! JT, as predicted, working his way toward the lead.

Are they broadcasting golf all day or going off the air until noon?

I am assuming that once the 1st round is all over, they will go off of the air.

I'm watching at work through masters.com

Different "channels" focused on sections of course. "Amen Corner", 15-16, 4-5-6. Also have "featured groups", but not sure who they are. I just have "amen corner" on in the background while I work.

Masters is far and away my favorite tournament, but it's not the same when long irons stop on the greens like a 60 degree wedge.

That will not be the case this weekend, nor will it be the case this afternoon.

Really like Cameron Smith’s game. He could be a threat for years to come.
